• ~Not Sloppy~

14.October.2026 An All-Inclusive Departure From “Normal” Yesterday we said a starting point is never an excuse to be sloppy, so here is what sloppy looks like. It is living from Sunday to Sunday, expecting the pastor to pick up the pieces, and then going right back to life as if nothing ever changed. It is…

• ~A Starting Point, Not a Sacred One~

13.October.2026 An all-inclusive departure from “normal” That title may have made you stop and say, “Wait a minute, what?!” That’s okay. I meant for it to cause you to think. When I say not sacred, I do not mean not holy, because everything we do for the Lord is holy service. And whatsoever ye do,…

• ~Go and Make Disciples~

8.October.2026 An All-Inclusive Departure From “Normal”Everything in this series has been leading to one question. If salvation is serious, if the cost has to be counted. If the result belongs to Him and Jesus has to be Lord and not only Savior, then what are we actually supposed to be doing? Jesus answered that before…

• ~Not Just Savior~

7.October.2026 An All-Inclusive Departure From “Normal”  How seriously do we take this relationship? Is it an activity we fit into the week, an addendum attached to a life that otherwise stays the same, or is it everything? That is the question underneath all of this, and Jesus never left the answer vague. When I was about…

• ~Whose Number Is This~

6.October.2026 An All-Inclusive Departure From “Normal”  Yesterday we sat down and counted the cost of following Jesus. Today the question turns around, because anywhere decisions get collected, a tally begins to form, and a tally always raises the same question. Whose number is this? I have planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase. So…

• ~Counting the Cost~

An All-Inclusive Departure From “Normal”  5.October.2026 Yesterday we looked at what it means to be pricked in the heart, conviction that rises from within and does not need pressure to keep it alive. Today we look at the other side of that coin, because Jesus never wanted anyone to follow Him without knowing exactly what…

• ~Pricked in the Heart~

An All-Inclusive Departure From “Normal”  4.October.2026 There is a real difference between a decision someone made because they were cornered and a decision someone made because something inside them actually broke open. Scripture shows us exactly what the second one looks like. Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said…

• ~Two Kinds of Sorry~

An All-Inclusive Departure From “Normal”  3.October.2026 There is a kind of sorry that only shows up after getting caught, and there is a kind of sorry that has nothing to do with being caught at all. Scripture shines the truth on this perfectly. Godly sorrow worketh repentance to salvation not to be repented of: but…

• ~A Prayer, Not a Verse~

An All-Inclusive Departure From “Normal” 2.October.2026 Something needs to be communicated here, because it is rarely said out loud. There is no “sinner’s prayer” written word for word anywhere in scripture. The familiar prayer so many of us grew up repeating is a tradition, something built by men to help people respond to a real…

• ~Lord, Lord~

An All-Inclusive Departure From “Normal”  1.October.2026 Yesterday I established that this is not casual. Today I want to go one step further, into territory that should unsettle anyone reading it, because Jesus Himself did not soften the one-two punch of it. Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom…
