~Go and Do~

02.November.2026

Have you ever noticed that a brand new believer often wakes up the next morning ready to go? They have not studied the whole Bible or finished a single Bible course, and yet they are telling their neighbors, praying with their coworkers, and doing what they have only just begun to read. They have not learned to “wait” yet, so they simply do, and somehow they carry a momentum that many of us who have known the Lord for years have lost.

Somewhere along the way many of us began waiting for a sign, a word, or a moment that tells us the time has come, and we call that waiting patience. Someone who teaches at church made a point recently that has caught my attention: when we wait for a revelation about something He has already spoken, we end up placing the delay on Him; however, He is not holding anything back. The instruction is already written, and in the New Testament alone there are well over four hundred commands, however you choose to count them.

And why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say?
Luke 6:46

None of this means He has stopped speaking. He still leads us into specific steps, but look at when that leading comes. Throughout Acts it came to people who were already on the road, already preaching, already going. As we go and do, we learn more, and when the sense of direction is quiet, that is not Him being absent. It is the Holy Spirit within us confirming what the Word has already said, because we are one with Him.

Yesterday I wrote that He is forward, and that is exactly why we can move without a forecast. He goes ahead of us, so the only thing left for us is to follow.

Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.
John 14:12

So what has He already told you to do that you have been waiting to be told again? Start there, and trust that the next step will become clear as you take the first.

Make today count. See you tomorrow.
