~Access, Not Authority~

16.October.2026

An All-Inclusive Departure From “Normal”.
Yesterday we saw the Word reach two women with no ritual and no touch. Today the question is a different one. It is not who can get to spiritual power, because plenty of people can, but who has the right to command it.

That right starts at creation. God did not leave us with nothing. He assigned something to us, and we did not earn it.

And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. Genesis 1:26

That authority has been restored to us through Jesus Christ, and Jesus said so plainly.

Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you. Luke 10:19

Notice the word give. Authority is something handed to us by the One who has it, which means it cannot be borrowed from anywhere else. Pharaoh’s magicians show us what happens when someone tries. They copied some of the signs, but when the gnats came they could not produce them, and they said so.

Then the magicians said unto Pharaoh, This is the finger of God: and Pharaoh’s heart was hardened, and he would not hearken unto them; as the LORD had said. Exodus 8:19

They had access to a power, but no authority over it. Balaam was the same. He was hired to curse Israel, and he had access to the spiritual realm, yet he could not curse what God had blessed.

Behold, I have received commandment to bless: and he hath blessed; and I cannot reverse it. Numbers 23:20

So how do we stand in what we have been given? The order matters, and Scripture gives it to us.

Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. James 4:7

Submission comes first, and then the resisting. We saw this verse a few days ago, and it belongs here because authority is never us asserting ourselves. It is us under God, speaking from where He put us.

Access can come from a lot of places, such as information, experiences, or someone else’s power. Authority only comes from being under Him.

Tomorrow we look at what all of this was always meant to open the door to.

I challenge all of us to ask ourselves this question. Where have I been relying on access when I should be standing in the authority I have been given?

Make today count and see you tomorrow.
