~Anchored, Not Rocked, Part 3~

20.September.2026

If the anchor holds the boat, and steadiness of mind keeps you from being tossed by every wind, there is still one more piece to this. Where the mind actually rests day to day.

Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee. Isaiah 26:3

Stayed on thee. Not stayed on the situation. Not stayed on the outcome. Not stayed on whatever is unresolved or unfamiliar right now. Stayed on Him. That single shift, where the mind actually fixes its attention, is the difference between perfect peace and a mind that spins in circles trying to manage everything it cannot control.

I have noticed how much energy gets spent trying to mentally solve things that are not mine to solve today: where this will go, how that will work out, what happens if it does not settle the way I hope. None of that is wrong to think about, but none of it produces peace either. Peace comes from where the mind is actually stayed, and that is a choice made repeatedly, not a feeling that arrives on its own.

This is the ongoing work of staying anchored. It is not a one time decision made in a dramatic moment. It is choosing, again and again, sometimes several times in a single day, to bring my mind back to Him instead of letting it drift toward every uncertain thing still in motion around me.

Perfect peace was never promised for perfect circumstances. It was promised for a mind that trusts enough to stay fixed on Him regardless of what circumstances are doing.

Where is your mind actually stayed today, on the unresolved details, or on Him?

If you have never given your life to Jesus Christ, you can do that right now. Pray this with me:

Dear Heavenly Father,

I confess that I have sinned, and I believe Jesus died for my sins and rose again on the third day. I ask Jesus, come into my heart and be my Lord and Savior. Thank You for saving me.

In Jesus’ name,

Amen.

Make today count and see you tomorrow.
