Knowing Him Daily

Three weeks, three Persons, and yet all along we’ve been talking about one God. Not three gods sharing a name, not three roles one Being rotates through, but Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, distinct, and inseparable.

The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Ghost, be with you all. 
2 Corinthians 13:14

All three, named together, in a single breath. Grace from the Son. Love from the Father. Communion with the Spirit living in you. Three Persons, each fully present, each essential, none of them optional to who God actually is.

And this pattern isn’t just theology floating somewhere above us. It’s woven into how we’re made.

And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. 1 Thessalonians 5:23

Spirit, soul, and body, three parts, one person. You don’t get to separate them and still call it whole. Your soul, your mind, will, and emotions, cannot be healthy while your spirit is neglected. Your body carries what your spirit and soul are actually doing. We are spirit first, made in the image of a God who is Spirit, and everything else, soul and body, flows from that identity, not the other way around.

That’s why the Father, Son, and Spirit each matter so completely. The Father who chose you before you existed. The Son who became like you, understood you, and gave everything so you could be found in Him. The Spirit who lives in you, comforts you, teaches you, convicts you in love, empowers you, produces fruit in you, and intercedes for you when you don’t even have words. Take any one away and the picture breaks. Together, they’re the fullness of who God is, and the fullness of what He’s made available to you.

The people who walk closest with Him know this intimately, they don’t relate to a concept. They relate to a Person, in three Persons, fully known and fully present.

Are you living in relationship with all three, or have you settled for knowing only part of who He is?

Dear Heavenly Father, 

I confess that I have sinned, and I believe Jesus died for my sins and rose again on the third day. I ask Jesus, come into my heart and be my Lord and Savior. Thank You for saving me.
