We close this week the way we opened it, with a Person, not a force, not an object, not some vague spiritual energy floating above us. The Holy Spirit intercedes for you, personally, in the moments you don’t even have words for.
Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God. Romans 8:26-27
Think about that. There are moments you don’t even know how to pray, and by prayer in the Spirit, He’s already interceding, already translating what your spirit is carrying into something the Father understands perfectly. That’s not a distant force. That’s someone who knows you intimately enough to speak for you when you can’t speak for yourself.
That’s why the people who walk closest with Him tend to stop calling Him a thing and start calling Him a Person, the Holy Spirit, because they’ve recognized who He actually is. And once you have that kind of relationship with Him, you’re not just comforted, taught, and warned. You’re carrying real power, the kind that makes you dangerous to the enemy’s plans. He has no advantage over you unless you hand him one. You hold his kryptonite. You know his Achilles heel, and it’s this: he cannot stand against someone who is actually listening to the Spirit. We have been given all Dominion and all authority here on earth, the devil was given nothing by God and Jesus gave us everything.
But here’s the honest part. There are days I forget. I run through life automated, moving fast, checking boxes, never pausing to let Him lay out what the day actually needs. And in that busyness, I miss things. People crying out right in front of me, people I was assigned to meet, and I walk right past because I’m too consumed with my own agenda to notice. There’s no way to quantify what that costs, what could have shifted, who could have been touched, not by me, but by Him working through me, if I had just slowed down enough to listen.
That’s why this matters every single day, not just in crisis moments. He is always there, always interceding, always ready to guide you if you’ll actually let Him lead instead of running the day on autopilot.
Are you moving so fast that you’re missing what He’s trying to do through you today?
If you have never given your life to Jesus Christ, you can do that right now. Pray this with me:
Dear Heavenly Father,
I confess that I have sinned, and I believe Jesus died for my sins and rose again on the third day. I ask Jesus, come into my heart and be my Lord and Savior. Thank You for saving me.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Make today count and see you tomorrow.
