He comforts you, and He also teaches you. Not from a textbook or a distant classroom, but from the inside, guiding you into what’s actually true.

Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come. John 16:13

Guide you into all truth. Not just hand you information and walk away, but guide, the way someone walks beside you through unfamiliar territory, making sure you don’t get lost or turned around. And He’s not speaking His own opinions. He’s relaying exactly what the Father wants you to know.

Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God. 1 Corinthians 2:12

That word freely here matters. What He teaches you isn’t locked behind performance or earned through enough Bible study hours. It’s freely given, meaning the access was never the problem. The willingness to sit still and listen usually is.

Think about how much noise competes for your attention every single day. Opinions, algorithms (social media), other people’s certainty about things they don’t actually know. The Spirit of all truth cuts through all of that, not by shouting louder, but by teaching you from a place you can’t get anywhere else.

This is why two people can read the same verse and one just sees words on a page while the other gets something that reorders their whole week. It’s not about being smarter. It’s about being taught by Someone who already knows exactly what you need and when you need it.

Are you making room to actually be taught, or are you filling every quiet moment with something else (to-do list, what’s for breakfast, etc)?

Dear Heavenly Father, 

I confess that I have sinned, and I believe Jesus died for my sins and rose again on the third day. I ask Jesus, come into my heart and be my Lord and Savior. Thank You for saving me.
