Knowing Him Daily

We’ve spent two weeks looking at the Father who chose you and the Son who saved you. Now we turn to the One who actually moves in and stays. He’s not visiting, He’s living with you and in you.

What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? 1 Corinthians 6:19

Temple. Not a place you visit on Sundays. Not a building somewhere far away that houses something holy. You are the building. Right now, wherever you are, whatever you’re carrying, He has made His home in you.

Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you. John 14:17

The world can’t see Him and doesn’t recognize Him, but you know Him, because He’s not just near you, He’s in you. That’s the shift Jesus was pointing to. Before, God dwelt with His people in a tent, then a temple, something you approached from the outside. Now He dwells on the inside of the very people He’s saved.

This changes how you’re supposed to think about your own life. You’re not white knuckling your way through temptation, trying to be good enough on your own strength. You’re not manufacturing peace or patience out of nothing. The Spirit who raised Christ from the dead lives in you, which means the resource you need for whatever you’re facing today isn’t somewhere out there waiting to be earned, it’s already inside you.

That also means how you treat your body, your mind, your daily choices, matters differently than the world tells you it does. You’re not just managing a temporary shell. You’re caring for a temple.

Are you living like He’s a visitor, or like He’s already home?

Dear Heavenly Father,

I confess that I have sinned, and I believe Jesus died for my sins and rose again on the third day. I ask Jesus, come into my heart and be my Lord and Savior. Thank You for saving me.
