Knowing Him Daily

An advocate who never stops interceding for you is one thing, but He didn’t stop there. He also handed you authority, the kind that changes how you walk through every single day.

All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Matthew 28:18

Jesus didn’t keep that power to Himself. He said it, then He turned around and gave it away.

Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you. Luke 10:19

That’s not a suggestion or a someday promise, it’s already given. The enemy has no legal ground left to stand on when you know who backed you and what He handed you. This authority was never about controlling people or forcing outcomes. It’s authority over the enemy, over sickness, over fear, over every scheme working against the life He purchased for you.

Here’s what makes this different from the world’s version of power. The world’s authority is about status, about climbing, about who has the biggest platform. His authority works the opposite way. It’s rooted in who He is in you, not in what you’ve accumulated. You don’t have to fight for it or prove you deserve it. He already gave it, back at the cross, sealed by the resurrection.

So why do so many of us live like we’re still waiting on permission? We pray small prayers. We shrink back from declaring what He already said is true. We treat the enemy like an equal opponent instead of someone already defeated.

You were never meant to live defensive and unsure. You were given authority, real authority, to walk through this life the way He walked through His.

Are you walking in what He already gave you, or are you still waiting for permission that was granted a long time ago?

Dear Heavenly Father,

I confess that I have sinned, and I believe Jesus died for my sins and rose again on the third day. I ask Jesus, come into my heart and be my Lord and Savior. Thank You for saving me.
