~He Chose You~

28.August.2026

Because God is outside of time, He knew before man ever chose against Him what was going to happen. He knew He would be making a way to bring us back to Him, and this time it would be completely by choice, not simply because man was created.

I’ve never looked this up before, but is there proof He loved us before He ever created us? Before He ever formed a relationship with us? He did! He knew us from before time itself.

According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love. Ephesians 1:4

If we, as earthly parents, recognize how deeply our love carries down to our own children, how much more does our Heavenly Father love us? (Matthew 7:9-11)

He knew Adam and Eve would choose selfishness, because that’s what sin ultimately amounts to. So He made a way. In the New Testament, there’s a word for this, propitiation. The Greek word behind it, hilasmos, means atonement, an appeasing, the means by which everything is made right. In simple terms, He made a way where there seemed to be no way. Man had drifted so far from God that in the natural, there was no path back to Him.

Time after time, human beings chose everything else instead of Him, more often than not.

But there was always a remnant in every generation, people who gave God reason, beyond simply knowing the end of the story, to keep choosing us. Look at Abraham. God told him to come out and be separate. Look at Noah. God saved one family to start humanity over, an entire world reduced to a single household who still chose Him. That’s astonishing to me, that He would rescue one family because no one else did.

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. John 3:16-17

His only Son. Jesus Christ died in our place because we couldn’t save ourselves, even with the free will to choose Him.  But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Romans 5:8 Generation after generation, we kept choosing selfishness and sin over Him. And because of that pattern repeating itself over and over, God had to make a way that was completely different. He did. We’ve covered this ground already, so I won’t belabor it further.

He chose you first.

Will you choose Him today?

If you have never given your life to Jesus Christ, you can do that right now. Pray this with me:

Dear Heavenly Father,

I confess that I have sinned, and I believe Jesus died for my sins and rose again on the third day. I ask Jesus, come into my heart and be my Lord and Savior. Thank You for saving me.

In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Make today count and see you tomorrow.
