~Father, Not Judge~

19.August.2026

“And we have known and believed the love that God has for us. God is love, and he who abides in love abides in God, and God in him.” I John‬ ‭4‬:‭16‬ ‭

Right now, in this moment, God is not relating to you as your judge. He is relating to you as your Father. Understand, He will be Judge one day, that role is real and it’s coming. But that is not the position He holds toward you right now. Right now, He’s Father.

For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father. Romans 8:15

Abba isn’t a formal, distant title. It’s meant to be perceived as intimate. It’s the word a child uses, Daddy, Papa, close and familiar. That’s how He wants you approaching Him, not cowering before a courtroom bench, but running to Him the way a child runs to a parent who loves them.

So much of how people relate to God gets distorted because they picture Him primarily as a judge, someone tallying up wrongs, and waiting to punish. But that’s not who He’s being toward you today. Today, He’s Father. Today, He’s for you. Today, He wants relationship, not a verdict.

Your identity gets shaped by which one you believe you’re standing in front of. If you believe you’re constantly before a judge, you’ll live cautious, fearful, always trying to earn approval. But if you know you’re standing before a Father, you live differently. You run to Him instead of running from Him.

That’s where your identity starts, not in what you’ve done or haven’t done, but in whose child you actually are.

If you have never let Jesus Christ be the Lord of your life, you can do that right now. Pray this with me:

Dear Heavenly Father,
I confess that I have sinned, and I believe Jesus died for my sins and rose again on the third day. I ask Jesus, come into my heart and be my Lord and Savior. Thank You for saving me.
In Jesus’ name,
Amen.

Make today count and see you tomorrow.
