Knowing Him Daily

Everything we’ve covered these past two weeks starts and ends with one truth: we rely on Him first, only, and last. Not on our own strength, not on people, not on circumstances. Him. But that reliance was never meant to translate into isolation.

Let us not forsake the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching. Hebrews 10:25

There is purpose and meaning in gathering. There are seasons where, for whatever reason, you walk through life with just God and no one else beside you, but that is not the norm. It’s not meant to be permanent. We were built for relationship, both with Him and with each other.

Everything we’ve talked about, healing, freedom from oppression, your identity and position in Him, declaring instead of begging, commanding instead of pleading, resting while you stand, none of it was given to you just for you. It was given to you so you could give it away.

Freely ye have received, freely give. Matthew 10:8

We are called to lead people to Jesus, to salvation, to making Him Lord, standing as His representatives in the process.

Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ’s stead, be ye reconciled to God. 2 Corinthians 5:20

But that’s only the beginning. It’s not the finish line. We’re called to disciple the people we lead to Him, not just point them to a decision and walk away, teaching them to observe everything He commanded us.

Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you. Matthew 28:19-20

Discipleship is what makes this multiply instead of just add, the same way Paul poured into Timothy, and told him to pour into faithful men, who would then pour into others.

And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also. 2 Timothy 2:2

That’s four generations carried in a single verse. That’s duplication, not addition. That’s what walking it out with others actually means. You don’t just receive what’s yours and hold onto it privately. You gather with believers, you lead people to Him, and then you pour into them so they can do the exact same thing for someone else.

This is how the whole thing keeps moving forward, generation after generation, one faithful believer at a time.

I confess that I have sinned, and I believe Jesus died for my sins and rose again on the third day. I ask Jesus, come into my heart and be my Lord and Savior. Thank You for saving me.
