Knowing Him Daily

For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith. Mark‬ ‭11‬:‭23‬ ‭KJV‬‬

That is not a suggestion, nor is it a hopeful maybe. Jesus is telling you clearly: say it, believe it, have it.

We tend to overcomplicate this. We read a verse like this and immediately want to qualify it, hedge it, explain it away. But God’s Word is not complicated. It’s simple.

Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven. Matthew‬ ‭18‬:‭3‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Think about how a child hears something. A parent says, “Dinner’s ready, come eat,” and the child just comes and eats. No questions. No analysis. No overthinking. They take it at face value and respond.

That is how we are supposed to receive His Word. Not with layers of complication, not with a hundred qualifications about context and culture and exception. Just simple belief and simple obedience.

Jesus said say to the mountain. Not ask the mountain. Not hope the mountain moves. Say to it, with authority, without doubting, and it will happen.

This is what it means to command instead of beg. Begging says, “God, please, if it’s Your will, would You maybe move this mountain for me?”

Commanding says what Jesus told us to say: speak directly to the obstacle itself, believe without wavering, and it will move.

But authority is not a party trick. It comes with accountability. We don’t get to walk in what was given to us without honoring the One who gave it, without recognizing the responsibility that comes attached to it. This isn’t about flippantly commanding things to happen because we can. It’s about walking in reverence for the One who trusted us with it in the first place.

Scripture warns us that counterfeits exist. Not every voice claiming power is speaking from Him.

Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity. Matthew‬ ‭7‬:‭22‬-‭23‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Power without relationship, without accountability, without reverence for the One who gave it, produces nothing that lasts. But when you command from a place of true authority, rooted in who you are in Him and accountable to Him, it is not flashy. It is not performance. It is simply obedience, spoken plainly, believed without doubting.

You already have the authority. You already carry your position in Him. Now it’s time to use your mouth the way He told you to use it, without timidity or uncertainty. Simple, direct, and unwavering, just like a child speaking plainly and expecting to be heard.
