Before we move forward, we need to settle something. Each of us has our own walk. Regardless of whether anyone comes with you or not, you have to be able to do what you do with no other human being bolstering you up. It’s you and God. Ultimately, in the end, it’s you and God. That is who you’re accountable to and no one will be standing by your side before Him.
So if you’ve never learned to be “okay” being alone, it’s time. It’s not always easy and sometimes you have to fight loneliness with every ounce of strength you have, knowing that God is greater and He will hold you if you let Him.
This week we’ve established what is actually yours now:
Your healing. Purchased by His stripes.
Your freedom from oppression and bondage. Fear, addiction, generational patterns, all of it broken.
Your right-standing. Not earned through performance, but given as a gift.
Your identity and position. You are IN Him. Nested inside. Hidden. Safe.
Your connection with Him. Morning time sets your day in motion.
This is what belongs to you. This is what was purchased. This is what is settled.
But now the question becomes: what do you actually do with all of it?
Faith operates in three parts: hope, standing and commanding, and resting. They aren’t sequential steps you complete one at a time, and they aren’t in tension with each other. They work together, simultaneously, each one depending on the others to function.
Hope. Standing and Commanding. Resting.
When His Word takes root in your heart, it produces an image for you of what has not yet happened. That births hope (Hebrews 11:1). But hope alone doesn’t activate anything. Hope becomes action when you stand and when you speak. When you command with authority (Ephesians 6:13-14, Proverbs 18:21). That’s when the logos (λóγoζ) becomes the rhema (ῥῆμα), when the written word becomes the living word through you.
You cannot only stand and command, you will burn out and you will strive. That’s why you also rest (Hebrews 4:9-11). You rest knowing it’s already finished. You rest in His strength, not yours (John 15:5). You rest because the moment you truly believed and took your stand, it was done. You’re not waiting to see it before it becomes real. It became real when you believed.
Hope. Standing. Resting. All three. Simultaneously. Together.
This is what it looks like to actually live what’s yours. This is how you walk it out. Alone with Him.
You can do this. How do I know? Because I am doing it. God is so faithful and He loves us so much, but we have to do our part. We have to stand. We have to speak. We have to rest. We have to let Him hold us when loneliness tries to convince us we’re not enough.
But you are enough. Because He is enough. And He’s in you.
This is the end of Week One. We’ve established what belongs to you. Next week, we go deeper into what those rights mean and how to walk them out.
If you have never given your life to Jesus Christ, you can do that right now. Pray this with me:
Dear Heavenly Father,
I confess that I have sinned, and I believe Jesus died for my sins and rose again on the third day. I ask Jesus, come into my heart and be my Lord and Savior. Thank You for saving me.
In Jesus’ name,
Amen.
Make today count and see you tomorrow.
