I know this one is a little bit longer, but I don’t apologize for it. What I’m sharing today is very weighty and important for every believer who wants to see success in their life.
Yesterday we looked at what Jesus purchased for your physical body. Today we look at what He purchased for your mind, your spirit, and your freedom from every form of bondage that has ever tried to hold you captive.
Because here is what most of us never connected: being afraid of running out of money, fear of the dark, fear of lightning and thunder, fear of being hurt emotionally or mentally or physically, all of it traces back to one root. Fear of death, fear of dying. And when you understand that, you understand why the curse is so effective. Death is the root of every other fear. It branches out into a thousand different expressions, but they all come from the same source. FEAR.
Addiction feeds on fear. Generational patterns perpetuate fear. Oppression operates through fear. But remove the fear of death and the entire structure collapses.
“who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son:”
Colossians 1:13 KJV
“and having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it.”
Colossians 2:15 KJV
He didn’t just heal you from sickness. He transferred you out of the kingdom of darkness entirely. He disarmed and “spoiled” the very powers that were using fear to keep you in bondage. The principalities and powers that operated through fear, through generational patterns, through addiction, through oppression, He made a public spectacle of them. He triumphed over them.
So why do we still live like we’re under their authority?
“I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.” Galatians 2:20 KJV
You are positionally dead. You have already been crucified with Him. You are no longer living for yourself and you are no longer subject to the curse that operates through fear of death. And here is the truth: fear cannot torment what is already dead. It cannot threaten you with death when you are already dead to self, by choice. It cannot use loss or pain or abandonment against you when you have already surrendered everything.
“For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.”
2 Timothy 1:7 KJV
“Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:6-7 KJV
“There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.” 1 John 4:18 KJV
Fear has/is torment. It’s a spirit! That is what fear does, it torments you. It tells you that you are not safe, that you will not survive, that what you love will be taken, that pain will consume you, that death is waiting. But the same purchase that bought your healing from physical sickness also bought your freedom from every form of oppression and bondage that fear creates.
Physical pain. Addiction. Generational patterns. Emotional trauma. Mental torment. Oppression. Bondage. All of it. Not bearable. Not something to manage for the rest of your life. Purchased and freed. FOREVER.
Why would you live under a spirit of fear when you are already dead? Why would you live in bondage to addiction when you have been transferred into the kingdom of light? Why would you accept oppression when He made a public spectacle of the powers that were holding you?
When you die, you go to be with Jesus. While you live, you are already crucified with Him. So why fear anything? Anything at all. You have already surrendered your life. You have already been moved out of darkness into light. You have already been redeemed. You have already been freed.
The purchase is complete. The power is finished. The freedom is forever.

Dear Heavenly Father,
I confess that I have sinned, and I believe Jesus died for my sins and rose again on the third day. I ask Jesus, come into my heart and be my Lord and Savior. Thank You for saving me.
