~Momentum, Not Pressure~

22.July.2026

There is a difference between the pressure that crushes you and the momentum that moves you. One comes from outside. One comes from within. And if you are truly alive in Him, if His power is working in you and through you, you will know the difference immediately.

For you did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption by whom we cry out, “Abba, Father.” ‭‭Romans‬ ‭8‬:‭15‬

You did not receive a spirit of bondage, not fear, not the pressure that comes from without crushing you under the weight of expectations and demands. You received adoption. You are a child of God, and that relationship is the source of everything: joy, momentum, urgency, purpose.

For the love of Christ compels us, because we judge thus: that if One died for all, then all died; and He died for all, that those who live should live no longer for themselves, but for Him who died for them and rose again. ‭‭.
II Corinthians‬ ‭5‬:‭14‬-‭15‬ ‭

His love compels you, not forces but compels, with an internal urgency that rises when you understand what He did and why He did it. When you truly comprehend that He died for you, the natural response is to stop living for yourself and move, act, driven by love instead of fear.

But here is what we all must understand: we were made for this. We were created for such a time as this.

No eye has seen, no ear has heard, and no mind has imagined what God has prepared for those who love him. ‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭2‬:‭9‬ ‭NLT‬‬

God has prepared something specific for you, not just generic salvation but a calling, a purpose, a moment. And when His power begins to work in you and through you, you start to see the connection between who you are and why you were created. That is when the He has full permission to take over.

External pressure says you have to do this or else, you have to perform or fail, you have to succeed or disappoint people. External pressure is rooted in fear: fear of judgment, fear of failure, or fear of what people will think.

But internal momentum is different. It says I was made for this, I see what is at stake, I understand His love, I am compelled from within, and His power is doing the work, not me forcing it.

When you know you were created for such a time as this, the question shifts from Do I have to to How do I, not because you figured it out, but because you placed your confidence in Him. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will direct your steps. When you acknowledge Him and trust Him completely, He directs your path. He does the work. You just follow.

This is what it means to live as a child of God: alive with purpose, compelled by love, energized by Him, not crushed by the world’s demands, not performing for approval, simply free.

If you have never given your life to Jesus Christ, you can do that right now. Pray this with me:

Dear Heavenly Father, I confess that I have sinned, and I believe Jesus died for my sins and rose again on the third day. I ask Jesus, come into my heart and be my Lord and Savior. Thank You for saving me.
In Jesus’ name,
Amen.

Make today count and see you tomorrow.
