One of the most liberating and terrifying things God will ever ask you to do is trust Him with a plan you did not design, you cannot fully see, and have no idea how He intends to pull it off.
That is Plan A.
Jeremiah is unmistakably clear: “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.” Jeremiah 29:11 He already knows. He already thought it through. The plan existed before you had any opinion about it, and it was good before you ever showed up to agree with it.
ALL IN means you find that plan and you commit yourself to it completely, not the plan of your favorite preacher or the calling of the evangelist you admire most, because they are doing what they are doing because that is what they were made for and hopefully they are doing it in His strength and not their own. Your Plan A looks like His plan for you, not like anyone else, and comparing the two will rob you of both.
Paul wrote to the church at Ephesus saying: “For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.” Ephesians 2:10 Before ordained. Already arranged. The works were prepared in advance and so was the person who was going to walk in them, and that person is you.
This is where trust becomes the whole assignment. One of my favorite preachers said this, if you truly believe that God is going to supply all your needs, even though you may not have any clue as to how He is going to do it or where it is going to come from, recognize that is not your job. Your job is to dare to believe that He can and that He will. Arranging for it, that is His responsibility.
Your only job is to stay in your lane, walk in your calling, and refuse to spend your energy trying to figure out what belongs to Him. The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord, and he delighteth in his way. Psalm 37:23 Ordered. Not suggested. Not offered as one option among many. Ordered.
Draw the line. Stay in your lane. Trust the One who drew the map.
If you’ve never surrendered to Jesus or have strayed, it’s not too late. He’s waiting to restore and renew you. Return to Him today and say this out loud:
Dear Heavenly Father ~
Thank You for sending Jesus to die on the Cross just for me. I admit that I have sinned, and I repent. I ask You to forgive me. I believe that He died and rose again. Right now, I make Him the Lord of my life. Fill me with Your Holy Spirit. My sins are washed away, my past is forgiven, and my future is bright. Thank you for saving me.
In Jesus’ Name,
Amen
Make today count and see you tomorrow.
