~He Has Something Better~

07.June.2026

Sometimes God does not answer the prayer you prayed because He is answering a bigger one you did not know to ask.

That is not a consolation prize. That is not something people say to make you feel better about unanswered prayer. That is the nature of a God whose perspective is so far above yours that what looks like silence from where you are standing looks like preparation from where He is standing.

Paul prayed one of the most extraordinary prayers in all of scripture and it was not for circumstances to change. It was for people to be able to comprehend something so vast it requires supernatural capacity just to begin to grasp it. “For this reason I bow my knees to the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, from whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named, that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with might through His Spirit in the inner man, that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith, that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and height, to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.” Ephesians 3:14-19

Filled with all the fullness of God. That is what He is after. Not just your comfort. Not just your answered request. You. Fully. Completely. Overflowing with Him.

And then comes the verse that reframes every unanswered prayer you have ever carried. “Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us.” Ephesians 3:20 Above. Not equal to. Not close to. Exceedingly abundantly above anything your mind has the capacity to ask or imagine.

Which means if what you asked for was the ceiling, He is already working on something above the ceiling. And sometimes the reason the answer has not come the way you expected is because what He has in mind does not fit inside the container you built for it.

This is not a series about unanswered prayer. It is a series about unhindered prayer. And the last hindrance is the quietest one,  the small ceiling we put on God when we decide we already know what the answer should look like.

Take the ceiling off. Let Him be exceedingly abundantly above. He has always had something better in mind.

If you’ve never surrendered to Jesus or have strayed, it’s not too late. He’s waiting to restore and renew you. Return to Him today and say this out loud:

Dear Heavenly Father ~

Thank You for sending Jesus to die on the Cross just for me. I admit that I have sinned, and I repent. I ask You to forgive me. I believe that He died and rose again. Right now, I make Him the Lord of my life. Fill me with Your Holy Spirit. My sins are washed away, my past is forgiven, and my future is bright. Thank you for saving me.

In Jesus’ Name,

Amen.

Make today count and see you tomorrow.
