~I Pray That You Know, Part 2~

18.May.2026

Yesterday we talked about the power. Today we will talk about what that power means for you specifically, because Paul does not stop at raising Jesus from the dead, and neither do we, because what he says next is the part that is important.

He says that God seated Jesus far above all rule and authority, power and dominion, and every name that is invoked, not only in the present age but also in the one to come. Far above, not equal to or in competition with. Far above every other name, every other claimed to be a source of power, every other system of belief that has ever promised ultimate truth or ultimate peace or ultimate knowledge. There is no one higher. Not Buddha, who is dead and has remained so. Not Mohammed, who is dead and has remained so. Not any philosopher or teacher or self-proclaimed prophet who has ever walked this earth and claimed to have the answers. Jesus alone was raised from the dead by the power of God and is seated at the right hand of the Father above everything and everyone. That is not arrogance. That is simply true, and we can say it with love and without apology because the Truth does not require our defense, only our proclamation.

And then Paul says something that should change the way you see yourself every single morning when you get out of bed. He says that we are His body, the fullness of Him who fills everything in every way. His body. Full and complete. Not a diminished version, not a watered down imitation of what the early church was, not a group of people waiting for someone more qualified to show up and do the real work. You are His body, the fullness of the One who fills everything in every way, and there is no version of that description that includes wimpy, powerless, benched, or excluded.

This is still Acts. This was always still Acts. The power did not stop, the calling did not change, and you are not too late, you are exactly on time, because you were born for this moment in history and God knew that before you took your first breath.

So I would like to pray the Ephesians prayer over you now, the same way Paul prayed it over the church at Ephesus, because you are the church, and this prayer belongs to you.

That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him, the eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, and what is the exceeding greatness of His power toward us who believe, according to the working of His mighty power which He worked in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places, far above all principality and power and might and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in that which is to come. And He put all things under His feet, and gave Him to be head over all things to the church, which is His body, the fullness of Him who fills all in all. Ephesians 1:17-23 NKJV

Now go. You are not wimpy. You are not powerless. You are not excluded. You are His body, full and complete, filled with the same power that raised Jesus from the dead, called for such a time as this, and equipped for everything ahead.

Not lukewarm. Not on the fence. All in.

If you have never made that choice to step fully in, today is the day. Pray this with me:

Dear Heavenly Father,

Thank You for sending Jesus to die on the Cross just for me. I admit that I have sinned, and I repent. I ask You to forgive me. I believe that He died and rose again. Right now, I make Him the Lord of my life. Fill me with Your Holy Spirit. My sins are washed away, my past is forgiven, and my future is bright. Help me to live like the beloved that I already am in Christ. Thank you for saving me.

In Jesus name,

Amen

Make today count and see you tomorrow.
