LIVE LONG AND PROSPER

Your kingdom come, Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Matthew 6:10

My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. Hosea 4:6

Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us. Hebrews 12:1

His lord said to him, well done, good and faithful servant. Matthew 25:21

Let us get something settled right from the start. The blood of Jesus did not just purchase a ticket to heaven, it purchased heaven on earth, now, in this body, in this life, and Jesus Himself taught us to pray that way. Your kingdom come, Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven, not someday, not eventually, but here and now in the lives of people who are still breathing and still assigned. We will not need healing in heaven because we will have glorified bodies, and we will not need prosperity in heaven because there is no lack there. Those are earth needs, and He made full provision for every one of them through the cross, long before we ever thought to ask.

So why are so many of His people not walking in it?

Hosea 4:6 does not say the world is destroyed for lack of knowledge. It says my people are. Believers. People with a genuine faith and a real relationship with God who were simply never taught that what Jesus purchased included a life of health, strength, and prosperity on this side of eternity. That is not a prosperity gospel distortion. That is the prayer Jesus prayed over every one of us, and it is 3 John 1:2 written in plain language. Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers.

We are living in what is known as the church age, and the church is in its final hours. The Bride is to be presented without spot or blemish, and I want to ask you honestly, what does without spot or blemish look like to you? Healthy. Strong. Prosperous. Fully alive. Not the picture painted by a pharmaceutical commercial asking if you are experiencing fatigue, hopelessness, and a general sense that your best days are behind you. Jesus did not say surrender until I come. He said occupy. That is an active word. That is a forward word. That is the word of a Commander who expects His people on their feet and in the fight until the very moment He returns.

Hebrews 12 says we are surrounded by a great cloud of witnesses and calls us to run with endurance the race set before us. A runner approaching the finish line does not check his watch and ease up, he digs in. He finds something he did not know he had and he leaves everything on the track, because the finish line is in sight and this is not the moment for less, it is the moment for more. Whether you are 35 or 75 or beyond, the tape is ahead of you and that cloud of witnesses is leaning forward.

For some reading this, the finish line carries a double weight. It is not only the end of the church age but the final season of a life, and everything in the natural says rest, slow down, you have done enough. But Caleb was eighty-five when he asked for his mountain, and the same God who kept him strong through forty years of wilderness is the same God who does not change. You are still here on purpose. You are still assigned. This is not the time to watch from the sidelines. This is the time to run harder.

Get on your face before Him. Ask Him what is going on in your body, because He formed you in your mother’s womb and He knows better than any doctor, dietitian, or practitioner what it will take to put you back together and keep you strong. He created the design. He knows the blueprint, and He is not finished with you yet.

Occupy until He comes. Healthy, strong, and fully alive, right up until you hear the words you have been running toward your whole life.

Well done, good and faithful servant.

Make today count and see you tomorrow.
