~What Truly Matters~

01.January.2026

Happy New Year!!

There are only two things that ultimately matter.

That we make heaven ourselves.

And that we help others get there too.

Everything else, every goal, every plan, every dream, every discipline, every habit, every breakthrough we pursue, must bow to these two God-driven priorities.

Jesus was clear about what matters most.

“Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations…teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age. Amen.” Matthew‬ ‭28‬:‭19‬-‭20‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

This is not a suggestion.

It is not an optional assignment.

It is the great commission. And it carries eternal weight.

He also said,

“For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul?” Mark‬ ‭8‬:‭36‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

We can build beautiful lives.

We can accomplish good things.

We can experience success.

But if we are not walking closely with God, and if we are not intentionally loving people toward Him, we are missing what matters most.

Every person we meet matters to God.

Every conversation matters.

Every kindness matters.

Every prayer matters.

Every invitation matters.

Every seed matters.

He is not asking us to save the world.

He is asking us to faithfully love the people He places in our path.

To speak truth gently.

To live visibly different.

To pray boldly.

To love sincerely.

To represent Him faithfully.

This is what our vision must be built on.

This is what our year must be shaped by.

This is what our lives must point toward.

So today, as we step into a new year, we realign our hearts with God’s Plan A.

Lord, help me walk closely with You.

Help me love people well.

Help me represent You clearly.

Help me live in a way that points others to You.

I had never seen this interview before. I only watched it yesterday. And I knew immediately that I had to include it here, because Billy Graham and Paul Harvey have long been two of my favorite human beings. There is a sincerity, a clarity, and a sense of gravity in their words that brings our hearts back to what truly matters.

I encourage you to take a few quiet moments to listen to it. Let it steady your heart. Let it refocus your vision. Let it remind you what truly matters.

Because at the end of it all, only two things matter.

That we make heaven.

And that we help others get there too.

Before we begin 2026, I want to pause here for just a moment.

If something in your heart has been gently stirred through these words, and you have never said yes to Jesus, or maybe you once did but you know it is time to come home, can I pray with you right now?

Just whisper this simple prayer:

Jesus, I need You.

I believe You died for me and rose again.

Come into my life.

Forgive me.

Lead me.

I am Yours.

That is it. Everything heaven has been waiting to release into your life becomes yours the moment you ask.

Welcome. You are now part of the family of God.

Make today count… and I will see you tomorrow.
