Sometimes, God wakes us up in the middle of the night, or nudges us during the day, and our first thought is: I’m too tired. I can’t. I need rest.
I get it. Sleep is precious. But here’s the truth: whenever we’re doing what God is asking, He doesn’t leave us to our own strength. He gives us the strength because it’s Him working in us and through us. He just needs a willing vessel.
If He wakes you up, it may be urgent. Sometimes, you’re the only one available. Don’t deny Him the opportunity to work through you. I know it’s a challenge, I’ve had to make an active choice, but when I choose obedience over comfort, I’ve found something incredible: God not only gives me the strength to pray and intercede, He gives me the energy I need for the day, energy I probably wouldn’t have without obedience.
“But they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.” ~Isaiah 40:31~
“I can do all things through him who strengthens me.” ~Philippians 4:13~
“Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men.” ~Colossians 3:23~
Oswald Chambers once said, “God never gives us a burden that He has not already provided the grace and strength to bear.”
When God wakes us up or nudges us, obedience is the key. Sometimes it’s a small act, sometimes it’s a critical moment of intercession. Either way, He equips the willing.
A song that captures this heart of reliance and surrender is “Oceans (Where Feet May Fail)” by Hillsong UNITED, a reminder to step into what He’s calling you to, even when it feels beyond your strength.

So the next time you feel God nudging you while you’re tired, ask yourself: Will I obey and let Him work through me? You might be surprised at the strength, clarity, and peace that follow your obedience.
If you’ve never given your life to Jesus, or if you’ve walked away, trying to do life your own way it’s not too late. He’s calling you back. He’s been waiting.
Return to Him today. Surrender your plans, your pain, and your past. He’s ready to restore, renew, and realign you with your divine purpose.
~ Dear Heavenly Father ~
Thank You for sending Jesus to die on the Cross just for me. I admit that I have sinned, and I repent. I ask You to forgive me. I believe that He died and rose again. Right now, I make Him the Lord of my life. Fill me with Your Holy Spirit. My sins are washed away, my past is forgiven, and my future is bright. Thank you for saving me. In Jesus’ Name Amen.
Make today count and see you tomorrow.
