~Doubt~

01.June.2026

Doubt does not walk in looking like doubt. Sometimes it asks as a question that feels reasonable. What if I made the wrong choice? What if His plan for me is different than what I want or think I heard? Where should I live? Who should I marry? Why am I still here?

These are the questions even though valid, they pull your eyes inward. And the moment your focus turns to yourself instead of to Him, you have already lost your footing.

James says it. “But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind.” James 1:6 A wave does not decide its direction. It just gets pushed around by whatever force is strongest in the moment. And when you are looking at yourself, your choices, your fears, your timeline, your inadequacy, you are not standing.

The antidote is not to stop asking questions. The antidote is to ask the right ones. What does He want? Where is He leading? How does His Word say I should think about this? Because the Word holds all the answers, but unless you turn your eyes to Jesus, you will not hear the author and finisher of your faith speaking them to you.

You cannot rely on your own instincts. Your intellect will fail you. Your feelings will lie to you, but His Word will not move. His character will not change. His plan for you has not been derailed by a choice you made, a circumstance that caught you off guard, or a question that keeps you awake at night.

Turn your eyes upon Jesus. Not to escape the hard questions, but to reframe them. The question is not “why am I still here?” The question is “what is He doing in me and through me while I am here?” That is the difference between doubt and faith. One pulls you inward while One pulls you toward Him.

Every time doubt whispers a question that makes you gaze at yourself, redirect. Ask what He is asking. Listen for what He is saying. Keep your eyes on the One who knows exactly where you are going and why you are here.

“Turn your eyes upon Jesus. Look full in His wonderful face. And the things of earth will grow strangely dim in the light of His glory and grace.https://youtu.be/7Ka7bVQmbnk?si=PchhB8Kmr6i3t0uf

If you’ve never surrendered to Jesus or have strayed, it’s not too late. He’s waiting to restore and renew you. Return to Him today and say this out loud:

Dear Heavenly Father ~

Thank You for sending Jesus to die on the Cross just for me. I admit that I have sinned, and I repent. I ask You to forgive me. I believe that He died and rose again. Right now, I make Him the Lord of my life. Fill me with Your Holy Spirit. My sins are washed away, my past is forgiven, and my future is bright. Thank you for saving me.

In Jesus’ Name,

Amen.

Make today count and see you tomorrow.
