Knowing Him Daily

Passion Week is behind us now and what a week it was. We watched the devil make his move, we sat in the upper room, we stood at the cross, we waited through the longest silence, and we celebrated the morning that changed everything forever. If you walked through every single day of that series, take a breath. That was not light reading and it was not meant to be.

But here is where I want to land today. The name of this blog is Knowing Him Daily. Not knowing about Him. Not admiring Him from a distance. Knowing Him. Everything we just walked through in Passion Week, every bit of the suffering, the silence, the surrender, and the resurrection, it was all in pursuit of one thing. Relationship. He went through all of that so that you and I could actually know Him.

So this week we are going back to center. We have touched on intimacy before and we will keep coming back to it because it is not a topic you cover once and move on from. It is the daily practice of a lifetime. This time we are going to walk through it together like a journey, starting at the very beginning with the fact that He moved toward us first, all the way through to what it looks like to simply stay.

Seven days, one direction, straight toward Him.
