~Between the Series and the Cross~

31.March.2026

Sometimes God does not move you from one thing straight into the next without giving you a moment to meditate and grow. This is one of those moments.

We have spent nine days standing in the gap for our children, declaring the Word, covering them with the blood, and holding hope when hope felt thin. If you stayed with me through all of it, something happened in you whether you felt it or not. That kind of praying changes a person.

So today I just want to pause.

Not because there is nothing to say, but because what is coming this week deserves a still heart to receive it. Holy Week is not just a Christian calendar event. It is an invitation to really look at what was done for us. We should not do this as an “activity” in our lives, not quickly and definitely not casually. This kind of attention, changes the way you see everything else.

“Be still and know that I am God.” Psalm 46:10. Not be still and figure it out. Not be still and get ready for what is next. Just be still. And know. Let that be enough for today.

If the last nine days stirred something in you, let it settle. Let the Word you declared take root, in them and in you. Let the prayers you prayed do what only God can do with them now. Your part was faithful, His part is sure.

Micah 6:8 asks a question worth sitting with today. “He has shown you, O man, what is good; and what does the Lord require of you but to do justly, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God.” He has shown you. Past tense. The showing has already happened. The question is what you do with it now.

This is a good day to get honest with yourself. Do you really believe what God showed you last week? If the fear creeps back in, if your child does not call, if nothing looks different, will you still believe it? Because what we truly believe in our heart of hearts will affect every single thing about how we live, how we pray, and how we love the people God gave us. And yes, God gives you people for your life!

This is not a day for guilt, but instead a day for intention. Take a few minutes and ask the Holy Spirit to show you what your next step looks like or perhaps what you need to be focused on that was not completed. Not the whole staircase. Just the next step. Write it down … you need to. Make it real. Because faith without a corresponding action is just a good feeling, and your family deserves more than that.

And then, get ready!

Because what we are about to walk through together this week is the reason for everything. The cross, the silence, the resurrection. The whole story hinges on what happened in a garden, on a hill, and in a tomb just outside Jerusalem two thousand years ago.

It changed everything then. It still does now.

Take a breath. You are going to want to be present for this week.

Make today count and see you tomorrow.
