~Trust Him Enough to Move~

20.February.2026

Yesterday we talked about obedience without question. Today I want to show you what happens when we finally stop hesitating and start moving, and what God does when we get out of His way.

If you’ve been following my journey, you know about the truck. If you haven’t, you can read the full story here [insert link].  But here’s what matters: God asked me to release my truck. Twice. And the first time, I didn’t obey.

Over a year earlier, He spoke quietly in my spirit. I tried briefly to sell it, but when it got hard and nothing happened quickly, I gave up. I told myself everything would be fine. But that wasn’t obedience. That was me resisting and rooted in rebellion because I knew He was asking me to do.

Then, at a conference last June, God spoke to me again, a little more loudly than before. This time He didn’t ask me to sell it. He asked me to give it away as a sacrificial seed. My heart sank briefly because I knew that truck was the last tie to my former life, the last connection to a twenty-two-year season I was finally walking away from. And if I was truly all in for Jesus, it had to go.

It had been damaged in a hail storm and I chose to have it repaired before giving it away.  When the repairs were done, I released it. On August 22nd, it left my hands. I only told two people because I didn’t want any unbelief spoken over it, including from myself. With no public transportation, I walked or depended on rides. It was humbling. It stretched me.

More than once I thought about making something happen on my own. But God gently reminded me that this was about trust. No amount of money I could earn, and no person I could lean on, would be enough to meet the needs tied to the calling He has placed on my life.

Scripture promises, “And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:19, NKJV  I had to learn to believe that.

Then came the breakthrough. On September 13th, I opened an email that had been sitting in my inbox all day. It spoke of money placed in a trust over twenty years earlier, now ready to be released. The amount? It covered a reliable, 2021 new-to-me truck.

Praise the Lord!

But here’s what I need you to hear: this story is not about me getting it right. It’s about God being so faithful that He works even through my disobedience and rebellion. When I finally obeyed, when I finally let go without needing to understand why, something inside me shifted. The freedom I experienced was greater than any sacrifice I thought I was making.

If God can be faithful to someone who delayed that long, who resisted that hard, He can be faithful to you too. Without Him, I am nothing. But with Him? He makes a way where there is no way. The Word says, “Commit your way to the Lord, trust also in Him, and He shall bring it to pass.” Psalm 37:5, NKJV And it also reminds us, “The blessing of the Lord makes one rich, and He adds no sorrow with it.”Proverbs 10:22, NKJV  That’s exactly what I experienced. The blessing came with peace, not with striving or regret.

The blessing, the breakthrough, and the freedom you’re looking for are on the other side of your obedience. God’s instructions are never random. They are rooted in love and aimed at your good.

So let me ask you: Has God asked you to release something you’ve been holding onto? Do you see His request as a loss, or as an invitation to freedom?

You have a choice. You can keep holding on, or you can trust Him enough to let go.

Lord, help me trust You enough to obey, even when it feels difficult. Thank You that Your plans for me are for my good and never for my harm. Give me courage to surrender anything You ask, knowing You are leading me into freedom. I release it all to You now. In Jesus’ name, amen.

And if you’ve never said yes to Jesus, if you’ve never surrendered your life to the One who loves you most, today is your day. Just say, “Jesus, I need You. I believe You died for me and rose again. Come into my life, forgive me, lead me. I’m Yours.” That’s it. Everything heaven has been waiting to deliver is already yours the moment you ask. Welcome! You are now a part of the family of God!

Make today count and see you tomorrow.
