“The strongest principle of life and blessing lies in our choice. Our life is the sum result of all the choices we make…”Billy Graham
Intimacy with God is held together not by emotion, but by choice. It’s not by momentary passion, but by daily allegiance. Every day we are faced with invitations, some loud, some subtle, that compete for our attention, our peace, and our loyalty. And every day, we choose.
Scripture is clear, “I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing; therefore choose life.” Deuteronomy 30:19, NKJV This is not a one-time decision. It is an attitude and a stance. A way of living that consistently turns toward God rather than away from Him.
Much of what unsettles us is what’s not rooted in our spirit, but in what we allow access to our minds. As believers, our spirit is not troubled or agitated. The disturbance we experience comes when we give space to fear, offense, anxiety, or flesh-driven reactions. These are choices, and they can be unchosen.
Walking in the Spirit is not mysterious, but it is intentional. It is an ongoing decision to agree with what God says is true, even when feelings protest. “Be anxious for nothing… and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus” Philippians 4:6–7, NKJV Peace is not accidental. It is guarded through submission and trust.
This is why loyalty matters. Double-mindedness fractures intimacy. Divided affection weakens clarity. But steadfast loyalty steadies the soul. As we choose alignment with God’s Word, agitation loses its grip, and peace takes its rightful place.
Intimacy is sustained by these quiet, faithful decisions. Choosing forgiveness. Choosing truth. Choosing obedience when compromise feels easier. Choosing to remain yielded when self wants control.
This journey was never about information, but about alignment.
Not about becoming something new, but about living from what Jesus has already made true.
Go forward anchored, not anxious.
Yielded, not striving.
Confident, not because of self, but because Christ lives in you.
Let intimacy now shape your days, your decisions, and your devotion.
This is not the end. It is the way forward.
