There is a fullness the world cannot give.
“The strongest principle of life and blessing lies in our choice. Our life is the sum result of all the choices we make…” Billy Graham
There is a question that surfaces sooner or later in every one searching: Is this really it? Even surrounded by activity, achievement, and connection, something can still feel missing. The world is full of options, yet peace remains elusive for so many.
That question is not a failure of faith. It is God’s personal invitation to you. There is more…
Scripture reminds us that what we are looking for cannot be found externally. “You will show me the path of life; in Your presence is fullness of joy; at Your right hand are pleasures forevermore.” Psalm 16:11, NKJV Fullness is not produced by circumstances or experiences. It is discovered in His presence.
Paul speaks of a treasure that cannot be manufactured or duplicated. “…that their hearts may be encouraged, being knit together in love, and attaining to all riches of the full assurance of understanding, to the knowledge of the mystery of God, both of the Father and of Christ, in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.” Colossians 2:2–3, NKJV What the world pursues through accumulation, God offers through relationship with Him.
Jesus makes the invitation even clearer. “But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.”Matthew 6:33, NKJV This is not aus denying we have desire, but a redirection of this it where the desire belongs. When we choose to put God first, everything else finds its proper place.
The world is not wrong for longing, it is simply looking in the wrong places. What we possess inwardly is what others are searching for outwardly. Peace that does not depend on circumstances. True joy remains steady when things are uncertain. A confidence in belonging, not performance.
A.W. Tozer said this nearness perfectly when he wrote, “We need never shout across the spaces to an absent God. He is nearer than our own soul.” God is not distant, and He does not withhold. The treasure we seek has been closer than we ever imagined all along.
Smith Wigglesworth said, “When you are filled with God you are filled with love, and perfect love casts out fear.” Fear loses its power when intimacy becomes a reality. Anxiety fades when our hearts are solid in what cannot be taken away.
Kenneth Hagin reminds us, “God, my Heavenly Father, does not have any favorite children.” This treasure is not reserved for the spiritually impressive. It is available to all who choose Him.
And that brings us back to choice.
Every day we decide where our Who we will look to for fulfillment. We choose what we believe will satisfy. The treasure of intimacy with God does not demand attention, but it outlasts every substitute.
If you’ve been chasing peace, pause today and receive it instead. If you’ve been striving for joy, let it be restored in His presence. The treasure you are looking for is not ahead of you, it is within reach in the secret place.
And if you want a song to sit with today, let “In the Presence of Jehovah”play softly. Let it remind you that fullness is found not in doing more, but in drawing nearer.

Tomorrow, we’ll turn our attention to how this treasure is sustained and strengthened through daily engagement with the Word.
