Intimacy with God is not something we visit.
It is something we live in.
Every day He invites us to know Him, walk with Him, and allow Him to change us from the inside out.
Jesus never invited us to visit Him.
He invited us to remain.
Abiding is not effort.
It is staying.
It is choosing to remain connected when life pulls,
to stay near when distraction whispers,
to keep returning when your attention drifts.
“Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me.” John 15:4 NKJV
Fruit is not produced by striving.
It grows naturally from connection.
When you abide, strength flows.
When you abide, clarity remains.
When you abide, your life bears what only God can produce.
“He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing.” John 15:5 NKJV
Your secret place is vital.
It is where intimacy is cultivated.
It is where your heart is anchored.
But abiding does not end when you leave that place.
It is just as important to remain aware of Him throughout your day.
To stay connected in the ordinary moments.
To truly put Him first in all things, in your thoughts, your choices, your words, and your responses.
“Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness.” Matthew 6:33 NKJV
When He is first, everything else finds its place.
Abiding is not something you master in a day.
It is something you live in daily.
Stay.
Remain.
Live connected.
Because everything God will do through you….
flows from this place.
I invite you to join me as we listen to this hymn: “Abide with Me.”
