Intimacy with God is not something we visit.
It is something we live in.
Every day He invites us to know Him, walk with Him, and allow Him to change us from the inside out.
God does not lead His children through pressure.
He leads them through peace.
Peace doesn’t come from being passive on the inside.
It comes from being confirmed by Him.
It comes from knowing who He is in you, and knowing who you are in Him.
It is not a silence that you avoid.
It is in knowing Him that affirms you.
Peace is His quiet ‘yes’ in your spirit.
God is directing your steps, He will not rush you.
He will settle you.
“And let the peace of God rule in your hearts.” Colossians 3:15 NKJV
The word rule here comes from the Greek brabeuō, meaning to arbitrate, to govern, to decide.
Peace becomes your inner umpire. When His peace remains, you move forward.
When His peace lifts, you pause.
“You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You.” Isaiah 26:3 NKJV
Peace is how God helps you to guard your decisions.
It is how He helps you protect your future.
It is how He confirms your steps.
Pressure pushes.
Peace leads.
Fear rushes.
Peace settles.
Confusion clouds.
Peace clarifies.
Let today be a listening day.
A waiting day.
A trusting day.
Because God’s peace does not just comfort you…
It guides you.
Tomorrow we will talk about the presence you carry.
About becoming a dwelling place for God.
About how your life becomes a resting place for His presence.
Tomorrow is where intimacy becomes something others around you sense Him in you.
Make today count and see you tomorrow.
This very upbeat song describes this so beautifully. I’ll link the song below. Here are the lyrics:
Lyrics of Me Without You
by TobyMac.
verse.
Raindrops.
Rolling off my brim.
Streetlights.
Got the pavement glistenin′.
Touchdow.
I fall into your arms.
Right where I belong.
Your everlasting arms
pre–chorus
And where would I be.
Without you?
chorus
I’d be packin′ my bags when I need to stay.
I’d be chasin’ every breeze that blows my way
I′d be building my kingdom just to watch it fade away.
It′s true.
That’s me without you, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh. That′s me without you, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh
That’s me without you, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh.
Don′t know where I’d be.
Without you.
hook.
Woah, without you.
verse.
Flashback.
Stepping through the scene.
There′s you.
And there’s a very different me.
Touchdown.
You had me at believe.
You had me at believe, you did.
pre–chorus.
chorus.
bridge.
(Where would I be?).
I was in deep.
So incomplete.
‘Til you rescued me.
Yeah, you rescued me.
verse.
You rescued me.
You are mine, and I am yours.
You rescued me.
And I am yours forever.
You saved me, remade me.
Where would I be?
pre–chorus.
I′d be packing my bags when I need to stay.
I’d be chasin′ every breeze that blows my way.
I’d be building my kingdom just to watch it fade away.
It′s true.
chorus.
outro.
That′s me without you, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh.
That′s me without you, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh.
That’s me without you, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh.
Don′t know where I’d be.
Without you
