~Identity Before Assignment~

07.January.2026

Before you ever did anything for God, He already claimed you.

Before calling.

Before purpose.

Before ministry.

Before assignment.

There was belonging.

“just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love, having predestined us to adoption as sons by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will,” Ephesians‬ ‭1‬:‭4‬-‭5‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Jesus had not yet preached.

He had not healed.

He had not performed one miracle.

Yet heaven opened and declared,

“This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.” Matthew 3:17 NKJV

His identity was settled before His assignment ever began.

And so is yours.

You are not defined by what you do.

You are not defined by what you produce.

You are not defined by what others expect from you.

You are defined by what heaven has spoken over you. Take a moment to think about that.

“See how very much our Father loves us, for He calls us His children, and that is what we are.” 1 John 3:1 NLT

Identity is the soil where everything God grows in your life will take root.

If your identity is secure, your calling will not exhaust you.

Your obedience will not crush you.

Your waiting will not weaken you.

Because you are not striving to become someone.

You are learning to live as who you already are, a beloved child of the Most High God!

“You are all children of God through faith in Christ Jesus.” Galatians 3:26 NLT

Today is a remembering day.

A settling day.

A grounding day.

Let the Father speak over you again.

You belong.

You are loved.

You are His.

Allow this to be your meditation once again today.

“At that day you will know that I am in My Father, and you in Me, and I in you.” John‬ ‭14‬:‭20‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

At the end of the day, remember that your identity is anchored in His love and tomorrow let’s get into agreement with Him and His Word.

Into what it means to live under His authority.

Into what it means to walk in peace, protection, and spiritual strength.

Tomorrow we talk about the power of surrender.
