Holiness has been misunderstood for a long time.
It has been treated like a measuring stick.
Like a rule book.
Like something you have to strain to reach.
But holiness is not about trying harder.
It is about belonging deeper.
“You are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people.” 1 Peter 2:9 NKJV
Before you ever change your behavior, God changes your position.
He calls you His.
He sets you apart because you belong to Him.
Holiness is simply living in agreement with that belonging.
It is not pressure.
It is alignment.
“For God has not called us to live in sin. He has called us to live a holy life.” 1 Thessalonians 4:7 NLT
Jesus never invited us into heaviness.
He invited us into rest.
“My yoke is easy, and My burden is light.” Matthew 11:30 NKJV
When you choose to walk differently, speak differently, think differently, and love differently, it is not because you are afraid of God.
It is not because you are trying harder.
It is not because you are relying on your own strength.
It is because you are close to Him.
It is because you are learning to know Him daily.
It is because His strength is now carrying what you could never carry on your own.
“It is God who arms me with strength, and makes my way perfect.” Psalm 18:32 NKJV
Holiness does not flow from willpower.
It flows from intimacy.
The closer you draw to Him, the more His strength becomes your strength.
The more His heart becomes your heart.
The more naturally your life begins to change.
Because you are not walking this out alone.
You are walking it out with Him…daily.
As you settle into this belonging, tomorrow we will step into something powerful.
We will talk about identity. We will discuss who you are before you do anything at all.
About hearing heaven speak your name before heaven ever speaks your assignment.
Tomorrow is the day we let God define us again.
