~A Thrill of Hope~

17.December.2025

There is a certain quickening that happens in our heart when hope awakens. Hope does not have to wait for our circumstances to improve. It rises the moment we remember who our God is. Hope acts differently. It lifts our spirit before anything around us changes. It reminds us that God is already moving, already weaving, already working behind the scenes in ways we cannot yet see. “Faith shows the reality of what we hope for; it is the evidence of things we cannot see.” Hebrews‬ ‭11‬:‭1‬

This is the thrill of hope our souls long for. The kind that stirs us from the inside out. The kind that says, God is near, and He is not finished.

Scripture tells us, “This hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and steadfast.” Hebrews 6:19 Hope is not fragile. Hope is not wishful thinking. Hope is an anchor. It keeps us steady when our emotions swirl, when timelines seem uncertain, and when answers seem delayed. Hope fixes our eyes on the character of God, not on the conditions of our life.

This season reminds us that hope entered the world wrapped in swaddling cloths. That the greatest promise came in the smallest form. That God’s answers rarely look the way we expect, yet they always exceed what we imagined. Hope has a sound, a posture, and a presence. It brings clarity to weary hearts and a lightness to burdened minds.

If you will pause today and listen closely, you may sense it, that gentle thrill, that quiet rise of expectancy. You may notice God nudging you to believe again, to breathe again, to look up at Him again.

Tomorrow, we will follow that thrill of hope as we step into Mary’s story. A young woman carrying a promise that seemed impossible, yet she embraced it with faith. Her “yes” shows us what hope looks like when it becomes obedience.

Let hope stir within you as you rest tonight. God is near, and His promises are alive within you.

If you’ve never surrendered to Jesus or have strayed, it’s not too late. He’s waiting to restore and renew you. Return to Him today and say this out loud:

Dear Heavenly Father ~ Thank You for sending Jesus to die on the Cross just for me. I admit that I have sinned, and I repent. I ask You to forgive me. I believe that He died and rose again. Right now, I make Him the Lord of my life. Fill me with Your Holy Spirit. My sins are washed away, my past is forgiven, and my future is bright. Thank you for saving me. In Jesus’ Name Amen.
