There is a tenderness in the way God transforms us. He never exposes a lie just to show us we were wrong or to make us feel guilty. He exposes a lie so He can give us His Truth, and that Truth becomes the foundation that not only changes us but it steadies us.
Scripture tells us, “Sanctify them by Your truth, Your word is truth” John 17:17. Removal is never enough. Emptiness does not heal us His Truth does. Call it “Replacement Therapy,” if you will. When Jesus was tempted in the wilderness, He did not argue, He did not over explain, He did not panic. He simply answered the enemy with the Truth. That is the model He left for us.
So when a lie rises up about your worth, your past, your future, your identity, you can be confident that you have every right to answer it. Not with emotion, not with fear, but with the Truth. “Whatever things are true… meditate on these things” Philippians 4:8. God’s Truth, His Word, rewires how you think, how you respond, and how you stand. I have a friend who sweetly modeled this for me on a trip recently, every day, not for my benefit but for hers.
“You can be pitiful, or you can be powerful, but you can’t be both.”
~ Joyce Meyer ~
This is where transformation becomes powerful. Each time you replace a lie with God’s Word, your mind builds a new pathway, one that leads you away from fear and back into His reality. It is the slow, steady work of what’s called becoming rooted.
If a lie has been loud in your life lately, pause and ask the Holy Spirit to show you the Truth that replaces it. He is faithful. He does not leave His children wandering in confusion.
Let Him speak, and let His Truth settle into the places where old stories once lived.
Consider closing your eyes and allowing this song to wash over you. Make today count and I’ll see you tomorrow.

If you’ve never surrendered to Jesus or have strayed, it’s not too late. He’s waiting to restore and renew you. Return to Him today and say this out loud:
Dear Heavenly Father ~ Thank You for sending Jesus to die on the Cross just for me. I admit that I have sinned, and I repent. I ask You to forgive me. I believe that He died and rose again. Right now, I make Him the Lord of my life. Fill me with Your Holy Spirit. My sins are washed away, my past is forgiven, and my future is bright. Thank you for saving me. In Jesus’ Name Amen.
