Before we move anywhere else, there’s something I feel deeply we cannot overlook. The enemy loves to lie to the people of God. And one of his favorite lies is about timing.
“You’re too young.”
“You’re too old.”
“You missed it.”
Every one of those is a lie.
There is no “too young” in the Kingdom of God. Samuel is the picture-perfect example.
He was just a child when God’s voice broke into his world. He kept running to Eli, thinking the old priest was the one calling him. Over and over he said, “Here I am, you called me,” (1 Samuel 3:10) until Eli realized what was happening and coached him to answer the Lord.
This is the kind of story that shuts the mouth of every lie that says you’re too young, you don’t know enough, you’re not ready.
God didn’t wait for Samuel to grow up, He called him right where he was, early, tender, listening.
There is no “too old” in the Kingdom of God.
At 85 years old Caleb looks at Joshua and says,
“Now therefore, give me this mountain.” (Joshua 14:12)
He wasn’t done. He wasn’t tired. He wasn’t retiring. He wanted his inheritance and his assignment… and he wanted the territory that was filled with giants. There was an urgency even so at 85 years of age!
Caleb blows a hole straight through the idea that someone can age out of purpose.
He’s proof that as long as you are breathing, He will have you building, conquering, inheriting.
There is no such thing as “messing up too much” to the purpose He wrote into your life before time even began.
Let’s look at someone who genuinely blew it. Someone who denied Jesus, broke the relationship, and sank under shame?
Peter is your man.
He didn’t just “mess up a little.” He publicly rejected Jesus three times, after promising he never would. However, Jesus Himself restored him, recommissioned him, and entrusted him with feeding His sheep and helping launch the early church.
Peter shows that failure doesn’t disqualify you.
God’s grace does not just patch people up, it gives assignments.
Your vision has been alive inside of you for a long time, often longer than you dare admit. And deep down, you’ve probably sensed it. Most of us have. What stops us from embracing it isn’t age… it’s fear. Fear of failure. Fear of judgment. Fear of stepping out. Fear of being wrong.
But hear this with your heart today:
Embrace the vision.
Because embracing the vision means embracing Him.
God is not harsh. He is not an ogre waiting to strike you for missteps.
He is a loving Father, a Heavenly Daddy, whose affection is wider, deeper, and more overwhelming than anything you’ve ever experienced naturally.
Let Him love you today.
Let Him quiet the fear.
Let Him revive the vision you’ve buried.
And… let Him love people through you.
Because your life carries influence.
There are people only you can reach.
There are hearts waiting for you on the other side of your obedience.
There are assignments tied to the simple kindness that only you can release.
Love Him enough today to practice daily obedience in the simple things:
• Smile at someone who looks weighed down.
• Say “good morning” to someone lost in their thoughts… making eye contact.
• Step into a small act of kindness that nudges light into someone’s cloudy moment-pay for the next person‘s coffee in line, when you see someone digging in their purse or wallet ahead of you at the grocery store with a look of panic on their face simply pay the bill, carry an extra $5 bill or $10 bill on purpose asking the Holy Spirit to lead you to someone who needs a little extra. Be creative asking the Holy Spirit. He wants to bless people, and we are the vessels that he wants to use.
You have no idea what is happening inside their heart.
Your obedience may interrupt destructive thoughts.
Your kindness may help someone feel seen when they felt invisible.
Your warmth may steady someone who was standing on the edge.
Sometimes vision doesn’t begin with the big things.
Sometimes it begins with the courage to give away a smile that carries God’s love, warmth and tenderness.
Often, obedience is the spark that awakens vision.
There is more to this journey though. There is a next step that carries a sweetness all its own, a step that has marked the lives of believers for generations and still carries power today. We will talk about that next, but for now let your heart rest in the vision He planted in you and the courage He is awakening in you to walk it out.

If you’ve never surrendered to Jesus or have strayed, it’s not too late. He’s waiting to restore and renew you. Return to Him today and say this out loud:
~ Dear Heavenly Father ~
Thank You for sending Jesus to die on the Cross just for me. I admit that I have sinned, and I repent. I ask You to forgive me. I believe that He died and rose again. Right now, I make Him the Lord of my life. Fill me with Your Holy Spirit. My sins are washed away, my past is forgiven, and my future is bright. Thank you for saving me. In Jesus’ Name Amen.
Here is a link to an evangelist/teacher and a ministry I deeply trust. If you make this decision for Jesus, they will gladly send you a discipleship packet and help you take your first steps in building a healthy, steady walk with God. They will not badger you or chase you down. They are simply there to support you, encourage you, and guide you. He is a trusted friend, a solid teacher, and someone who can help lay the foundation of truth under your feet as you begin this new journey.
Make today count and see you tomorrow.
