Obedience matters. Every choice we make carries weight, shaping the life we live and the legacy we leave. Today we will see how faith and trust in God made all the difference for someone who chose to follow Him fully.
We usually picture strength as force, power, or authority that takes charge.
But Michael shows us a different kind of strength, one wrapped in humility, one fully surrendered to God.
Jude gives us a look behind the curtain, so to speak, a moment not seen by human eyes.
He writes, “The angels who did not keep their proper domain but left their own abode, He has reserved in everlasting chains under darkness for the judgment of the great day.” (Jude 6)
Even angels are held accountable to God’s holiness.
Then Jude shows us Michael, the archangel, a warrior of heaven, the one who battles Satan and defends God’s people.
And still, Michael refuses to overstep God’s divine authority.
“Michael the archangel, in contending with the devil, did not bring against him an accusation, but said, The Lord rebuke you.” (Jude 9)
Michael had power, he had rank, but he refused to take God’s role.
His restraint was not weakness, it was worship.
Submission is faith in action. It says, I do not need to control the outcome. God will handle what I cannot.
In a world that applauds assertiveness and self-defense, Michael shows us the strength of surrender. He reminds us that spiritual authority flows from agreement with God, not from grasping for power.
Real faith does not fight for control. Real faith trusts the God.
Michael teaches us that strength submits, power bows, and honor yields. Faith surrenders to the One who reigns.

Let this song remind you to worship and surrender to the authority of God, just as Michael did.
Faithful obedience leaves a lasting legacy. The choices we make today echo into tomorrow, shaping who we are and how God’s story is told through us. Tomorrow, we will meet another faith giant whose trust in God changed everything.
If you’ve never surrendered to Jesus or have strayed, it’s not too late. He’s waiting to restore and renew you. Return to Him today and say this out loud:
~ Dear Heavenly Father ~
Thank You for sending Jesus to die on the Cross just for me. I admit that I have sinned, and I repent. I ask You to forgive me. I believe that He died and rose again. Right now, I make Him the Lord of my life. Fill me with Your Holy Spirit. My sins are washed away, my past is forgiven, and my future is bright. Thank you for saving me. In Jesus’ Name Amen.
Make today count and see you tomorrow.
