Obedience matters. Every choice we make carries weight, shaping the life we live and the legacy we leave. Today we’ll see how faith and trust in God made all the difference for someone who chose to follow Him fully.
“Then they came to Him, bringing a paralytic who was carried by four men. And when they could not come near Him because of the crowd, they uncovered the roof where He was. So when they had broken through, they let down the bed on which the paralytic was lying. When Jesus saw their faith, He said to the paralytic, “Son, your sins are forgiven you.”” (Mark 2:3-5)
Sometimes faith looks like walking on water, and sometimes it looks like carrying someone who cannot walk at all. These four friends could have turned back when they saw the crowd pressing around Jesus, but they didn’t. They believed that if they could just get their friend to Him, everything would change.
Their faith was determined, creative, and united. They climbed the roof, tore through the covering, and lowered their friend right into the presence of Jesus. It wasn’t neat, it wasn’t easy, but it was faith in action. And Scripture says, Seeing their faith, Jesus said to the paralyzed man, “My child, your sins are forgiven.”
What a beautiful truth. Jesus didn’t just respond to the man’s faith, He responded to their faith. The faith of those who carried him made way for his healing. This moment reminds us that sometimes the greatest love we can show is the kind that refuses to give up on someone else.
The Word says, “Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ.” (Galatians 6:2)
That’s what these men did. Their faith lifted their friend when he could not lift himself. “Thus also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead. (James 2:17)
Their actions brought that faith to life.
Jesus still honors faith like that today. When we pray for others, stand in the gap, or refuse to stop believing for those who are weary, we become the hands that carry them closer to Him. Sometimes faith believes for others until they can believe again for themselves.

Faithful obedience leaves a lasting legacy. The choices we make today echo into tomorrow, shaping who we are and how God’s story is told through us.
Tomorrow, we’ll observe a man whose faith wrestled with doubt until Jesus met him face to face, Thomas, who learned that faith believes even when it cannot see.
If you’ve never surrendered to Jesus or have strayed, it’s not too late. He’s waiting to restore and renew you. Return to Him today and say this out loud:
~ Dear Heavenly Father ~
Thank You for sending Jesus to die on the Cross just for me. I admit that I have sinned, and I repent. I ask You to forgive me. I believe that He died and rose again. Right now, I make Him the Lord of my life. Fill me with Your Holy Spirit. My sins are washed away, my past is forgiven, and my future is bright. Thank you for saving me. In Jesus’ Name Amen.
Make today count and see you tomorrow.
