~Faith that Reaches~

04.November.2025

Obedience matters. Every choice we make carries weight, shaping the life we live and the legacy we leave. Today we’ll see how faith and trust in God made all the difference for someone who chose to follow Him fully.

“When she heard about Jesus, she came behind Him in the crowd and touched His garment. For she said, “If only I may touch His clothes, I shall be made well.” Immediately the fountain of her blood was dried up, and she felt in her body that she was healed of the affliction.”
‭‭(Mark‬ ‭5‬:‭27‬-‭29‬)

She had no audience, no reputation, and no guarantee. For twelve long years, she had suffered, spending all she had on doctors who couldn’t help her. Yet when she heard about Jesus, hope flickered to life again. Faith began to whisper, “What if…?”

The crowd pressed around Him that day, noisy and impatient, everyone wanting something from Him. But her faith was persistent. It was quiet, determined, reaching through the possibility fear and rejection just to touch the edge of His robe. And when she did, everything changed.

“And Jesus, immediately knowing in Himself that power had gone out of Him, turned around in the crowd and said, “Who touched My clothes?” But His disciples said to Him, “You see the multitude thronging You, and You say, ‘Who touched Me?’ ”” (Mark‬ ‭5‬:‭30‬-‭31‬) ‭

But Jesus knew. Power had gone out from Him. He didn’t just feel her touch, He felt her faith.

Her faith didn’t begin when she touched Him, it was the reason she reached for Him in the first place. She believed before she ever saw the miracle. Though the law said she shouldn’t even be there, faith pushed her forward. It moved past shame, defied fear, and stretched toward the One she knew could make her whole. She didn’t need attention, she needed an answer, and faith led her straight to it.

Faith always finds a way to reach Jesus. Even when we feel unseen, unwanted, or unworthy, He notices our faith. The moment she reached for Him, He reached back.

Faithful obedience leaves a lasting legacy. The choices we make today echo into tomorrow, shaping who we are and how God’s story is told through us.

Tomorrow, we’ll meet another faith giant whose trust in God changed everything, Peter, who stepped out of the boat when everyone else stayed behind.

If you’ve never surrendered to Jesus or have strayed, it’s not too late. He’s waiting to restore and renew you. Return to Him today and say this out loud:

~ Dear Heavenly Father ~

Thank You for sending Jesus to die on the Cross just for me. I admit that I have sinned, and I repent. I ask You to forgive me. I believe that He died and rose again. Right now, I make Him the Lord of my life. Fill me with Your Holy Spirit. My sins are washed away, my past is forgiven, and my future is bright. Thank you for saving me. In Jesus’ Name Amen.

Make today count and see you tomorrow.
