~Faith that Perseveres~

29.October.2025

Obedience matters. Every choice we make carries weight, shaping the life we live and the legacy we leave. Today we’ll see how faith and trust in God made a difference in the life of someone who chose to follow Him fully.

As I read the story of Abraham, I find myself both encouraged and convicted. God told him to leave everything familiar, his home, his people, his comfort, and go to a land that He would show him. There were no maps, no timelines, no guarantees, just God’s promise. “By faith Abraham obeyed when he was called to go out to a place that he was to receive as an inheritance. And he went out, not knowing where he was going” (Hebrews 11:8).

That verse amazes me, “He went out, not knowing”. There is something about that kind of obedience that feels both terrifying and beautiful. Abraham’s journey was not a straight line. There were moments of great faith and moments of human weakness. But even in his missteps, he never stopped believing that God would do what He said.

“He did not waver through unbelief regarding the promise of God, but was strengthened in his faith and gave glory to God, being fully persuaded that God had power to do what He had promised” (Romans 4:20–21).

That kind of faith is not born in religion. It is refined in the waiting, confidently trusting. Decades passed before Abraham saw the fulfillment of God’s promise, a son born when hope seemed impossible. But what Abraham learned is what we must all remember: faith does not always see the promise right away, but it keeps believing because the One who promised is faithful.

Sometimes the waiting feels endless. We pray, we hope, we hold on, and still the promise has not come. But faith that perseveres does not give up. It keeps trusting when the timeline stretches long and the evidence seems thin. Abraham’s story reminds us that delay is not denial, and God’s timing is always perfect, even when it feels painfully slow.

Faithful obedience leaves a lasting legacy. The choices we make today echo into tomorrow, shaping who we are and how God’s story is told through us.

Tomorrow, we’ll meet Gideon, a man who saw himself as the least, yet discovered that God calls us not by what we are, but by what He knows we can become through faith.

If you’ve never surrendered to Jesus or have strayed, it’s not too late. He’s waiting to restore and renew you. Return to Him today and say this out loud:

~ Dear Heavenly Father ~

Thank You for sending Jesus to die on the Cross just for me. I admit that I have sinned, and I repent. I ask You to forgive me. I believe that He died and rose again. Right now, I make Him the Lord of my life. Fill me with Your Holy Spirit. My sins are washed away, my past is forgiven, and my future is bright. Thank you for saving me. In Jesus’ Name Amen.

Make today count and see you tomorrow.
