~Marching in Silence~

27.October.2025

Obedience matters. Every choice we make carries weight, shaping the life we live and the legacy we leave. Today we’ll see how faith and trust in God made all the difference for someone who chose to follow Him fully.

There are moments in our walk with God when the walls don’t move, not right away. The prayers have been prayed, the steps have been taken, and still, everything looks the same. That’s when faith shows its strength, not in the shouting, but in the steady steps taken one after another. This is when it looks as though nothing is changing. However, faith sees the end from the beginning.

When Joshua led Israel to the walls of Jericho, the plan must have sounded impossible. No strategy, no weapons, just a promise from God and steps of faith to take. God said, “See, I have delivered Jericho into your hands, along with its king and its fighting men” (Joshua 6:2). Notice the tense, I have delivered. The victory was spoken long before it was seen.

So the people who marched included: forty thousand men of war, led by seven priests carrying rams’ horns and the Ark of the Covenant, followed by the rear guard. Day after day, they circled the city in complete silence. Can you imagine the sound of that many footsteps echoing through the desert air? You shall not shout or make any noise with your voice, nor shall a word proceed out of your mouth, until the day I say to you, ‘Shout!’ Then you shall shout” (Joshua 6:10 NKJV). Not even a whisper broke the air, only the sound of forty thousand footsteps, moving in obedience, building invisible momentum as God prepared the enormous walls to fall.

On the seventh day, they didn’t just march around Jericho once, they marched around it seven times. When the priests blew their trumpets and Joshua gave the command, the people shouted in obedience, and the walls that had stood strong for generations collapsed. God honored their faithful steps, showing that when we move in obedience, even silently, He brings the breakthrough.

That’s what faith looks like when it keeps moving. Faith that marches doesn’t wait for the walls to crack signaling eminent collapse, it walks in trust that God is already working, even when nothing looks different.

Sometimes obedience feels like we’re going through the motions. You wake up, pray again, forgive again, believe again, and the walls still stand. But make no mistake, every step of faith shakes the ground beneath the impossible. God’s timing may test your endurance, but His faithfulness never fails.

We live under a new covenant now, and the same God who caused Jericho’s walls to fall has given us the name of Jesus, a name greater than every obstacle that stands before us. When we walk in obedience and declare His name in faith, every obstacle must bow to His authority.

Faithful obedience leaves a lasting legacy. Every step of faith builds momentum, even when nothing seems to change. God honors movement, not hesitation, and when we walk trusting Him, He moves through us.

Tomorrow, let’s step into the royal courts with Esther, a woman who discovered that sometimes obedience means moving forward when fear says to stay still, and that one act of courage can change the course of history.

If you’ve never surrendered to Jesus or have strayed, it’s not too late. He’s waiting to restore and renew you. Return to Him today and say this out loud:

~ Dear Heavenly Father ~

Thank You for sending Jesus to die on the Cross just for me. I admit that I have sinned, and I repent. I ask You to forgive me. I believe that He died and rose again. Right now, I make Him the Lord of my life. Fill me with Your Holy Spirit. My sins are washed away, my past is forgiven, and my future is bright. Thank you for saving me. In Jesus’ Name Amen.

Make today count and see you tomorrow.
