When you take a bold step of obedience, don’t expect a standing ovation from the enemy. He will not sit back quietly while you walk in God’s purpose. In fact, he’s been watching you since birth. He knows your weak spots, the triggers that can stir up fear, doubt, or insecurity. He knows how to provoke you, whether it’s through something someone says, an old memory from your past, or a fear of not being enough in the here and now.
Ephesians 6:12 tells us: “For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places.”
That’s why it’s so important to recognize who the real enemy is. People are not the enemy. Circumstances are not the enemy. The true opposition comes from the enemy… the devil, and it always has the same agenda: to steal, to kill, and to destroy (John 10:10).
Here’s the good news: just as the enemy studies you, your God has already gone before you. He has armed you with His Spirit, His Word, and His promises. You are not walking out this calling in your own strength, you are walking it out in His victory.
Opposition is not a sign that you’ve taken a wrong step, it’s proof that you’re stepping into something meaningful and revealing His love and goodness. Every whisper of doubt, every challenge, every attempt to derail you is a signal that you are moving in the direction God intended. Your response matters. You could choose fear, frustration, or retreat, or you can choose faith, trust, and perseverance. Stand firm in the truth that Jesus has already overcome the enemy. His Spirit equips you, His Word strengthens you, and His promises sustain you.
Is it the battle for your soul: your thoughts, your will, your emotions? Perhaps it even comes from a well-meaning onlooker who “has your best interest at heart…” 🤔 If there’s interference, it’s your responsibility to knock it out—firm but polite.
Yes, the Bible reminds us that ultimately, the battle belongs to the Lord. We are called to step into our authority, to put on our spiritual “boots,” pick up our sword, and go for it. Standing firm is active, not passive. You engage in the fight, not to earn victory, but to walk it out in faith and obedience.
When you face moments of attack or discouragement, remember these truths:
- You are not alone—God is with you.
- The enemy is limited—he can only harass, not destroy your calling.
- Victory has already been secured through Jesus—your obedience activates it in your life.
Ask yourself , where in my life am I experiencing resistance, and how can you choose to stand firm and actively engage in God’s victory today?
As you stand firm in your faith and walk boldly in God’s purpose, let “The Champion” by Carman be your motivation. This song vividly depicts the ultimate victory of Jesus over Satan, reminding us that the battle has already been won. With its powerful narrative and dynamic delivery, it serves as a reminder that we are not passive observers but active participants in God’s victorious plan.

~ Dear Heavenly Father ~
Thank You for sending Jesus to die on the Cross just for me. I admit that I have sinned, and I repent. I ask You to forgive me. I believe that He died and rose again. Right now, I make Him the Lord of my life. Fill me with Your Holy Spirit. My sins are washed away, my past is forgiven, and my future is bright. Thank you for saving me. In Jesus’ Name Amen.
Make today count and see you tomorrow.
