~When You Know His Voice—Walk It Out~

11.September.2025

Once you know that you’ve heard His voice, and you’ve stepped out in obedience, you quickly discover something: the enemy doesn’t sit back when you step out, he will fight back.

Jesus makes it plain in John 10:10, “The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly.” There’s a clear contrast. Every good gift, every breath of life, every moment of abundance flows from Jesus. Every loss, every attempt to destroy, every shadow of death flows from the enemy.

One of the most dangerous lies believers can fall into is this: “God sent this sickness, this loss, this pain to teach me something.” That’s not the Jesus of the New Testament. That’s not the Father revealed in Christ. Jesus came to bring life, not death, not destruction, not despair.

Let’s consider a few questions to expose this lie:

  • Is there cancer in heaven? No.
  • Is there kidney dialysis in heaven? No.
  • Are there miscarriages or stillbirths in heaven? No.
  • Are there addictions and recovery programs in heaven? No.

If those things don’t exist where God reigns in fullness, why would we believe He is the one sending them here? God is not the thief… Satan is. Our Father is not against us; He is for us.

This is why Jesus taught us to pray: “Your kingdom come, Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven(Matthew 6:10). If it doesn’t exist in heaven, it doesn’t belong as God’s will on earth. Jesus paid a very high price for us!

So remember this as you walk it out: your fight is not against God. Your fight is not against people. Paul reminds us in Ephesians 6:12 that our battle is against the powers of darkness who want to stop us from living out the voice of God we’ve heard.

The good news is this: the enemy has already been defeated. You don’t fight for victory, you fight from victory, standing firm in the One who has overcome.

As I close this first post in the “When You Know His Voice—Walk It Out” series, let your heart rise in praise. Like Housefires’ anthem “I Thank God,” let gratitude be your stance, declaring freedom, life, and victory. The enemy may try to steal, kill, or destroy, but our story ends in celebration, because we win! I thank God.

If you’ve never given your life to Jesus, or if you’ve walked away, trying to do life your own way it’s not too late. He’s calling you back. He’s been waiting.

Return to Him today. Surrender your plans, your pain, and your past. He’s ready to restore, renew, and realign you with your divine purpose.

~ Dear Heavenly Father ~

Thank You for sending Jesus to die on the Cross just for me. I admit that I have sinned, and I repent. I ask You to forgive me. I believe that He died and rose again. Right now, I make Him the Lord of my life. Fill me with Your Holy Spirit. My sins are washed away, my past is forgiven, and my future is bright. Thank you for saving me. In Jesus’ Name Amen.

Make today count and see you tomorrow.
