~Grace That Transforms – No Excuses~

04.September.2025

If sloppy grace says, “God loves me, so I don’t have to change,” true grace says, “God loves me so much, He doesn’t want me to stay the same.”

Paul wrote it plainly in Titus 2:11–12: “For the grace of God has appeared that offers salvation to all people. It teaches us to say ‘No’ to ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright and godly lives in this present age.” Grace doesn’t just cover us, it teaches us.

Think of it this way: when a parent sees their child run in from outside with sticky hands and a messy face, they don’t just smile and say, “That’s fine, I’ll just ignore it.” No, they scoop the child up, wash them clean, and teach them how to stay clean next time. That’s not harshness; that’s love in action. Grace does the same. It meets us messy, but it doesn’t leave us messy.

A.W. Tozer once said, “The holiness of God, the wrath of God, and the health of the creation are inseparably united. God’s love saves us from God’s wrath by removing the cause of the wrath—our sin.” Grace removes the stain of sin, but it also draws us into holiness, not as a burden, but as a better way to live.

When we make excuses for sin, we rob grace of its power. When we let grace teach and shape us, we discover freedom we didn’t think was possible. Grace doesn’t only pardon us, it empowers us.

The beauty of grace is that it’s not just about what we’ve been saved from. It’s about what we’ve been saved for: a life of holiness, peace, joy, and communion with God. That’s grace at work.

~ Dear Heavenly Father ~

Thank You for sending Jesus to die on the Cross just for me. I admit that I have sinned, and I repent. I ask You to forgive me. I believe that He died and rose again. Right now, I make Him the Lord of my life. Fill me with Your Holy Spirit. My sins are washed away, my past is forgiven, and my future is bright. Thank you for saving me. In Jesus’ Name Amen.

Make today count and see you tomorrow.
