Wow! It’s already the end of the month, can you believe it? We’re rounding the corner, and cooler weather is on its way, at least for those of us in the warmer parts of the U.S. Get ready to enjoy the shift in seasons!
A few months ago, I made a major decision, not because it looked safe or logical, but because I knew it was exactly what the Father instructed me to do. Since then, the enemy has tried coming at me from every direction with fear, doubt, and unbelief. The accuser’s voice has been relentless: “You’ve put yourself in a very bad and risky position.”
But my response has been firm: “No, I am in a solid position, because I’m doing exactly what God told me to do.” “Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful.” ~Hebrews 10:23~
This opposition has lingered for months. I’ve been careful not to let it enter into my mind nor my heart, because I know once fear takes root, it becomes harder to uproot. But even though I’ve resisted, the battle hasn’t gone away. That showed me something…I needed to press deeper into His Word, not just knowing it with my mind, but allowing it to become living revelation in my spirit.
The Bible calls this rhema. Logos is the written Word-the knowledge of Scripture. But rhema is when God breathes life into His Word and it becomes alive inside of you. You can read verses over and over, but until you meditate, rehearse, and declare them until they fuse with your very being, they remain head knowledge. Rhema is when the Word becomes the reality you live from.
And here’s what the Lord showed me, it’s not enough to just resist the enemy. “Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruit.” ~Proverbs 18:21~ We must actively confess what we believe. We have to declare out loud what God has already said belongs to us. Not just think it, not just hope for it, but speak it.
We must accept it, receive it, and claim it as already done. “But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind” (James 1:6). In God’s realm, time does not exist. The promises are already finished. It’s only here on earth where we see delay. Our assignment is to believe and speak as though it is already ours, because in Christ, it truly is.
E.W. Kenyon simply said: “Confession always goes before possession.”

~ Dear Heavenly Father ~
Thank You for sending Jesus to die on the Cross just for me. I admit that I have sinned, and I repent. I ask You to forgive me. I believe that He died and rose again. Right now, I make Him the Lord of my life. Fill me with Your Holy Spirit. My sins are washed away, my past is forgiven, and my future is bright. Thank you for saving me. In Jesus’ Name Amen.
Make today count and see you tomorrow.
