~The Setback That Becomes Momentum~

29.August.2025

A couple of days ago when I mentioned that the roller coaster not only stopped but backed up to get a running start at the next loop that went upside down, it reminded me of how life with God can sometimes feel.

When the enemy has done everything he could to steal, to kill, and to destroy us, sometimes God will stop us long enough to reset us. It may even feel like a step backward, but in reality, He’s giving us a better vantage point to see what’s going on in our lives. Then, just like a child standing on their father’s shoulders in a swimming pool being launched across the water, He gives us that powerful momentum to move forward.

That’s the kind of Father He is. What the enemy meant to stop us with, God turns into strength to propel us higher than we could have ever gone on our own.

“The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord, and He delights in his way. Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down; for the Lord upholds him with His hand.” ~Psalm 37:23–24 NKJV~

Smith Wigglesworth once said: “Great faith is the product of great fights. Great testimonies are the outcome of great tests. Great triumphs can only come out of great trials.”

Your setback does not define you. Your pause is not the end. You are in the middle of God’s plan for your life, and even the things that looked like they would take you out become the very launching pad, not the end, it’s the setup for a greater leap forward. Trust Him with the momentum.

“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.” ~Joshua 1:9 NKJV~

If you’ve never given your life to Jesus, or if you’ve walked away, trying to do life your own way it’s not too late. He’s calling you back. He’s been waiting.

Return to Him today. Surrender your plans, your pain, and your past. He’s ready to restore, renew, and realign you with your divine purpose.

~ Dear Heavenly Father ~

Thank You for sending Jesus to die on the Cross just for me. I admit that I have sinned, and I repent. I ask You to forgive me. I believe that He died and rose again. Right now, I make Him the Lord of my life. Fill me with Your Holy Spirit. My sins are washed away, my past is forgiven, and my future is bright. Thank you for saving me. In Jesus’ Name Amen.

Make today count and see you tomorrow.
