~When Rollercoasters Distract, Only Jesus Heals~

28.August.2025

While I was at the amusement park, I realized something: rollercoasters were numbing the pain for me. For a few minutes, the adrenaline, speed, and thrill distracted me. And the truth is, I was very good at concealing my pain. On the outside I looked fine, smiling, laughing, enjoying the ride. But inside, there were places of my heart that still hurt.

Isn’t that what so many people do in life? We find ways to numb the ache instead of facing it. For some it’s alcohol or drugs. For others it’s cutting, unhealthy relationships, binge eating, overworking, shopping, or endless scrolling and entertainment. The world is full of counterfeits that promise relief but never deliver. And in the end, all they do is add to the problem. They may distract us from the pain in the heart, but they don’t erase it.

Only Jesus can do that.

Only Jesus, by the authority of God and through the power of the Holy Spirit, can reach into the deepest places of a broken and wounded heart and bring true healing. Every tear, every betrayal, every disappointment, every scar, He sees them all, and He doesn’t leave us where we are. He wants to heal completely and restore fully.

The enemy would love for us to stay trapped in pain, numbing ourselves until we’re too weak to fight. But God promises something better. He takes what was meant to destroy us and turns it for good. He transforms devastation into testimony, ashes into beauty, and pain into a platform for His glory.

“You intended to harm me, but God intended it all for good. He brought me to this position so I could save the lives of many people.” ~Genesis 50:20 NLT~

I’ve seen this truth in my own life. Everything that once devastated me, God is now using to bring good, not just for me, but for others too. He wastes nothing.

So we keep trusting. We keep pressing in. We keep surrendering everything to Him—not because of what we’ve endured, but because of what He endured for us. Jesus gave His all so that we could live whole, healed, and free. He deserves nothing less than our everything.

“He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.” ~Psalm 147:3 NKJV~

It is often in our deepest wounds and weakest places that God prepares us for His greatest blessing and our calling.

~ Dear Heavenly Father ~

Thank You for sending Jesus to die on the Cross just for me. I admit that I have sinned, and I repent. I ask You to forgive me. I believe that He died and rose again. Right now, I make Him the Lord of my life. Fill me with Your Holy Spirit. My sins are washed away, my past is forgiven, and my future is bright. Thank you for saving me. In Jesus’ Name Amen.

Make today count and see you tomorrow.
