~Backpacks, Blessings & the Beauty of Salvation~

12.August.2025

The sun was blazing—105° and relentless, but nothing could dim the excitement in the air. This past weekend, I had the honor of serving at a crusade alongside some of the most wonderful people you could ever meet. We came from different places and walks of life, but we were united by one mission: to share the love of the Lord Jesus Christ.

The day was the heartbeat of one young couple’s vision, a dream to place backpacks in the hands of children, each one with school supplies, a Bible, and the greatest gift of all: the gospel of Jesus Christ. They wanted every child and every parent to know there is hope, there is love, and His name is Jesus.

Prior to the crusade, we had 25 volunteers show up, there were 1200 people signed up to attend: 265 children attended, along with 82 adults. By the end of the day, 200 backpacks were given out, but the numbers that truly mattered were these: 56 children and adults prayed to receive Jesus as Lord and Savior that day. That is a number Heaven rejoices over.

How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!” ~Romans 10:15~

After everything was packed away, our team found ourselves at an authentic Italian restaurant, a cozy, welcoming place that smelled like fresh bread and simmering sauce the moment you stepped inside. Our waitress was cheerful and attentive, making sure every detail was perfect. Plates came out one by one: Chilean bass, pasta, seafood, steak, each dish more fragrant than the last. And yes, we saved room for dessert: fried cheesecake, peach cobbler, and homemade tiramisu that could make you close your eyes and sigh.

But you know what was even sweeter than dessert? Somewhere between laughter, conversation, and passing the bread, we began sharing our testimonies with our waitress. One by one, each of us told her what Jesus had done in our lives. And before the evening was over, right there at the table, she bowed her head and prayed to receive Jesus as her Lord and Savior.

As my dear friend loves to say, Gloria de Dios!Glory to God! For in one weekend, the Kingdom grew, not just at the crusade, but in a little Italian restaurant where Heaven celebrated yet another soul coming home.

The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life, and the one who is wise saves lives.” ~Proverbs 11:30~

Now it’s your turn, if you’ve never given your life to Jesus, or if you’ve walked away, trying to do life your own way it’s not too late. He’s calling you back. He’s been waiting.

Return to Him today. Surrender your plans, your pain, and your past. He’s ready to restore, renew, and realign you with your divine purpose.

~ Dear Heavenly Father ~

Thank You for sending Jesus to die on the Cross just for me. I admit that I have sinned, and I repent. I ask You to forgive me. I believe that He died and rose again. Right now, I make Him the Lord of my life. Fill me with Your Holy Spirit. My sins are washed away, my past is forgiven, and my future is bright. Thank you for saving me. In Jesus’ Name Amen.

Make today count and see you tomorrow.
