~I Believe in You/Louder Than the Enemy~

08.August.2025

There’s a scene in Hook that plays in my mind like a parable. Captain Hook has trapped Peter. He isn’t just threatening his life; he’s attacking his identity. Hook taunts him, insisting he’s not really Peter Pan at all, just Peter Banning, a cold, selfish, workaholic. He tells Peter that when he wakes up, this will all be a dream and he’ll go back to who he used to be. Isn’t this just how the enemy operates trying to get us to doubt who we are in Christ?!

Then Hook begins to sharpen his blade on the spinning stone, ready to kill him. The Lost Boys and Peter’s children erupt saying: “I believe in you!” They’re not whispering encouragement. They’re drowning out the lie with the truth of who he really is.He doesn’t need reminding of who He is, but I sure do. Every time I speak His name, praise Him openly, or obey Him when it costs me something even if it only means opening my mouth and speaking. In that moment, I’m choosing to give Him the glory He deserves.

If children in a fictional story can give that kind of wholehearted rally to Peter Pan, how much more should we give to Jesus, the Savior of our souls? For believers, Jesus does not need to “remember” who He is, He is eternally the same, but we need to continually declare who He is, not because He needs validation, but because our confession honors Him, aligns our hearts, and releases His power in our lives.

Psalm 29:2 says, “Ascribe to the Lord the glory due his name.” Hebrews 13:15 calls me to continually offer “the fruit of lips that acknowledge His name.” That means my honor for Him can’t be polite or part-time. It has to be full-hearted, my words, my choices, my obedience, my sacrifice. Speak Jesus…

If I truly believe in Him, then I will live like He is worthy…worthy of all my love, all my life, and nothing held back.

Today, open your mouth and declare who He is. Speak His name without hesitation. Live in such a way that your priorities, your obedience, and your love leave no doubt where your loyalty lies. Let your life shout “I believe in You!” so loudly that it drowns out every other voice, including the ones of fear, doubt, and compromise.

If you’ve never given your life to Jesus, or if you’ve walked away, trying to do life your own way it’s not too late. He’s calling you back. He’s been waiting.

Return to Him today. Surrender your plans, your pain, and your past. He’s ready to restore, renew, and realign you with your divine purpose.

~ Dear Heavenly Father ~

Thank You for sending Jesus to die on the Cross just for me. I admit that I have sinned, and I repent. I ask You to forgive me. I believe that He died and rose again. Right now, I make Him the Lord of my life. Fill me with Your Holy Spirit. My sins are washed away, my past is forgiven, and my future is bright. Thank you for saving me. In Jesus’ Name Amen.

Make today count and see you tomorrow.
