~The Light Breaks Through~

16.December.2025

There is a special anticipation that rises in this season, not the hurried rush of lists and plans, but something special about pausing long enough to let our hearts catch up with what our spirits already know: Jesus is coming very soon, and He is always worthy of room. Not just space in our schedules, but in our affections, in our thoughts, and in the places where disappointment, hurry, or numbness have quietly taken over without our noticing. This season reminds us that preparation is not just practical because everything is spiritual. “Let every heart prepare Him room” is more than a lyric. It is a posture.

Preparing Him room is not about striving; it is about yielding. It is the holy undoing of cluttered places, the clearing of what has become too loud or too heavy. It is opening the door again to the One who promised, “Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in.” Revelation 3:20.

And part of preparing room for Him is preparing room for others.

This is the season when we finally pause long enough to truly notice the people who cross our paths each day… the ones who serve us, greet us, help us, or simply keep our lives running smoothly without ever seeking recognition. A smile costs nothing. A sincere thank-you costs nothing. A moment of eye contact, a kind word, a quiet kindness—these carry no price, yet leave a weight they remember.

These small gestures are not small in the Kingdom. They reflect the heart of the One who came close to us, the One who stepped into our world with kindness wrapped in humanity. “The one who is the true light, who gives light to everyone, was coming into the world.”
‭‭John‬ ‭1‬:‭9‬

Since He lives in our hearts, His light naturally flows out to others.

This week is a beautiful invitation to anticipate not only what God is doing in us, but what He wants to do through us, to think intentionally about the people we can bless: the barista, the taxi driver, the person who does our nails, the teen who bags our groceries, the attendant at the gas station (do they still exist?), or the neighbor who waves from across the street. We do not know the weight they may carry, but as Believers we do know the source of the power of kindness to lift someone up.

This season is full of preparation, but the most important preparation happens within us. As we slow down enough to see people, we soften enough to see Him. As we give what is simple, we make space for what is precious to the Father (people!). As we love in small ways, our hearts become open where Jesus can fully live.

I encourage you to let His voice within us deepen, that gentle reminder that making room for Him always enlarges our capacity for others. We ask Him to show us what needs releasing, what needs softening, what needs His touch. We make room not just for the celebration, but for the Savior Himself, room for His peace, room for His Light, room for His voice in us.

Tomorrow we will take a look into the moment when His Light breaks through every shadow, every ache, every place that has waited silently for hope. The anticipation grows, and so does our readiness. Let’s be eager every moment of every day to be connected to Him, hear His voice and step out… for Him. We are His voice, His hands, and His feet.

Rest tonight with a heart that is open, a spirit that is listening, and a soul that is preparing Him room. See you tomorrow!

If you’ve never surrendered to Jesus or have strayed, it’s not too late. He’s waiting to restore and renew you. Return to Him today and say this out loud:

Dear Heavenly Father ~ Thank You for sending Jesus to die on the Cross just for me. I admit that I have sinned, and I repent. I ask You to forgive me. I believe that He died and rose again. Right now, I make Him the Lord of my life. Fill me with Your Holy Spirit. My sins are washed away, my past is forgiven, and my future is bright. Thank you for saving me. In Jesus’ Name Amen.
