~He Restores My Soul~

13.December.2025

There are days when renewal feels steady and strong, and then there are days when an old memory rises without warning. A smell, a sentence, a moment, a silence, and suddenly something from another season knocks at the door of your mind and rattles you.

This is the part many believers misunderstand. They think a resurfacing memory means they have failed, or slipped backward, or somehow has undone all their progress. But that is not true. A memory is not your identity. A trigger is not a destiny. And healing is not undone simply because something old tried to get your attention.

The Word says, He restores my soul Psalm 23:3. Restoration is not a one-time event, it is God tending to the deep places of your heart over and over, until peace becomes your new normal.

When an old memory rises, the renewed mind does not pretend it is not there. We do not stuff it, ignore it, or shame ourselves for feeling it. That only strengthens what needs to be healed. Instead, we turn toward God with honesty and let His presence rewrite the moment.

Sometimes a thought resurfaces because God is healing a layer you did not even know was still tender. Sometimes it resurfaces because the enemy is hoping you will agree with something God already freed you from. And sometimes it resurfaces so you can practice your new strength. Shazam!

This is where the reset happens, not in perfection, but in returning. Returning to Truth. Returning to peace. Returning to the One who knows exactly how to speak to the place you felt the sting.

Put off… the old man… and be renewed in the spirit of your mind, and that you put on the new man Ephesians 4:22-24. You are not who you were when that memory was formed. And God will not waste one moment of your story, He will redeem even the places that once felt broken using them for His glory!

A resurfaced memory is not a setback. It is an invitation, to let the Shepherd restore your soul again today.

Tomorrow, we will step into the joy of what it looks like to live with a mind that is learning to stay steady, anchored, guarded, and renewed.

If this stirs something in your heart and you’ve never said yes to Jesus, or maybe you have, but you know it’s time to come home, can I pray with you right now? Just whisper, Jesus, I need You. I believe You died for me and rose again. Come into my life, forgive me, lead me. I’m Yours. That’s it. Everything heaven has been waiting to deliver is already yours the moment you ask.

Welcome to the family, beloved. The package is signed, sealed, and on its way.
